Have to say I was kind of disappointed the first time I listened to it, but I can't stop replaying it. I think my expectations were so high that nothing would have lived up to it.

Interested to see if any others have thoughts on it.

There were a few songs I liked off the bat, although I had heard them before it was released.

There are some that are growing on me.

I will say though, I think Dave does not sound that good on this one. Don't know if father time has caught up with him or what but it seems he just does not sound half as good as he used to sound.

Ive listened to it several times over and have to say it has exceded my expectations. I was expecting stuff more along the lines of me wise magic.
Tattoo, the first single off the album to me is actually one of the weaker tracks.
Roths voice which definetely shows its age sounds better then it did on the 07-08 tour. Ed seems to have gotten some of his mojo back after the hand surgery and Al and Wolf are quite impressive....especially Wolfie.

will never be as good without Mike's vocals but Wolfie can really play and seeing as they are pushing 60, pretty good stuff. Got to hand it to them for even giving it a shot, they could play sold out shows on the old stuff without even trying.

It's growing on me. Agree with the others, Dave is sounding old, Wolfe stepped up his game big time, Eddie is still great, Alex is rock solid, they don't sound the same without Michael. The first leg doesn't come thru here. I'm kind of glad because the ticket prices might be lower when they do. Looking forward to that show.

I love VH, both the Roth and Hagar versions. I have only heard the new single Tattoo and I don't like it. Hopefully the rest of the album will be better.

not even gonna pick it up.

and i love music.

Van Halen used to be my favorite band. I went to as many concerts as I could, but as I got older I realized how the Van Halen brothers (especially Eddie) were complete jerks. I lost respect for them and I don't care for their music anymore.
