It's all subjective... Witten has been helluva player for many years. Longevity and sustainability definitely goes into the equation when you're talking about the formula for greatness.

absolutely his reiiability and longevity are major factors. But some here need to understand that there have been some really great TE's in the last 50 years that frankly are better than Witten. Better receivers, better blockers, down field threats, etc. Off hand as I think about the great ones I have seen play Witten might make my top 10 of all time. But certainly not top 5.

Certainly has been some all time great TE's that are ahead of him. I am not blinded by facts when it comes to players that have dawned the Star.

We have had players like LA who can legitimately be considered the GOAT at their positions. Roger, Emmit, etc. Witten is just not one of them.
