Has Bryant played his last down in the NFL?

I don't know if he'll ever be in an NFL game again -- if so, a team might not have him for long. He's still way too full of himself and I don't think he's the type that's going to settle for less ...

... than a 1-year deal worth over $7 million, that allows him to be one of the full-time starting outside WRs.

If he doesn't get that, I think his ego forces him into retirement.

Sad situation. Sorry player.

Your thoughts?

I think the Browns meeting soured when behind the scenes (not on Hard Knocks) they let him know that he'd be the 4th wide receiver behind Gordon, Higgins and Landry, with Callaway also likely to get considerable snaps as a gadget skill player.

The subject of Dez is a dead horse, but Ill give the OP credit for tweaking it a bit.

Is it actually possible hes played his last down?

I highly doubt it. Dez is too young to be done, surely there is a team that his skills can help. I would love to see him in New England personally. Im not sure if he succeeds but I think he gets one more chance to show he still has it.

He should've just taken the damn Baltimore deal when it was offered.

I think Dez can be overly emotional and does not use the best judgement sometimes and wears is heart on his sleeve. I do think he will play somewhere and I think he can still contribute to an offense. I don't expect some lofty contract being handed out to him or him being brought in as a #1 WR. If he can deal with that he has a chance to play a while longer. JMO

Another Dez thread.

Personally I think deep down he doesn’t want to play for any other team than Dallas and reality has set in that he’ll never wear the star again. Wasn’t he tweeting throughout the entire pre season game?

I see him actually retiring

..Why is it a bad thread? Still of cowboy interest, very much so. Here's a guy who was making Lotto money and playing for a famed team. Now cant find a home. I find that very interesting...;)

Just let it go and create a thread worthy of a discussion.

I'll say this, I am really surprised no team has picked him up. He would be a solid #2 WR on any team.

Weird how everything has played out since his release.

I highly doubt anyone would have predicted that he would still be without a team this late in the preseason.

With a week and a half before the start of the season, and him not having a team yet, it's not out of the realm of possibility to think that Dez Bryant might not be back in this league.

A longshot? Sure. But it is possible.
