Has Dak alienated much of the Fanbase

Oh wow. I can’t believe another Dak hate thread to go on top of the hundred that has been made over the years.

The only thing he continues to do is live rent free in haters heads. SMH. He only alienates people who never liked him anyway.

was it a bad decision to extend dak? probably. but it doesn’t hinder anything when it comes to signing key FA in key positions.

remember cap boy stephen saying “oh the rams went all in and it’s gonna bite them in the arse in a couple years” (paraphrasing)

look at them now stephen. they won it all. took two down years came back and won another playoff game before you.

He’s just living the dream man. Grew up in a trailer now he’s playing for two old fools that don’t know football.

How can anyone blame him for taking the money?

I hold nothing against him. He's just not that good. Not his fault, that's just the way it is
This says it all. I would take the money, too. There is no reason to take less money because this FO would not use it to make the team BETTER. Best case is they keep the status quo by giving the money saved to their own. Who on here would give up money just so his co-workers can make more money?

If I knew I wasn't good at my job and some idiot wanted to pay me like I was the best ever at it, hell, I too would take the money and run.

All Dak's contract proved to me is that he is an individual who focuses only on himself. Selfish is the word some would use. Dak could have vetoed the deal out of sheer desire to play for a winner but he didn't, and in the process revealed his true, greedy colors.

The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.
The fact that Dak had to hold out for the Maximum amount feasible rubs me, and others I'm sure, just for the fact that he came across as more greedy than committed to winning.
Watching all the FA activity for all the other teams and how so many don't sign to the maximum but for amounts they seem respectable.
But not Dak. He didn't seem to give a squat about helping the team. He signed the most crippling contract he could for the teams sake.
Not only will his contract hinder us presently, with the restructures where they convert his salary to a bonus, he will be causing us cap problems well after he is gone for two to three years afterwards.
While his restructuring helps us short term, it will limit us for many years.
GM Jethro sure has.

I blame the incompetence of Jethro and son for offering it.

Hoping and wishing a player would take less isnt a strategy.

I do wish Dak would just shut up after a loss. He isnt getting better and wont. We are stuck with him for the 3 years.

Thats why FA doesnt matter. Draft doesnt matter. None of it matters. You cant have that much cap allocated to a bus driver at QB.

Forcing a trade may be our best chance. Get some draft picks and take the huge cap it.
You can't drive a bus with 3 wheels and a broken transmission.

I could care less about his money ......... he has alienated me with his absolute horrendous play in the playoffs ....... guy just stand there mouth agape like a deer in front of a 18 wheeler ....... and only starts to play when the game is basically over and all the pressures off.

So yea ....... he has alienated the hell out of me.

Only aliens around here are the ones that were alienated....

Problem is much deeper than Dak. Someone put it perfectly earlier - Dak and his contract is just one symptom of the deep rooted illness pervading the entire organization.
We didn't win with Dak on a rookie contract and these yahoo are now blaming Daks money. To damn funny

I don’t blame him… we should have traded him if we wanted to just stay in this infinite purgatory.

Jerry jones is the problem and it has been for 30 years… names, faces, and coaches change yet the same stench remains.

We could not trade him.

The lack of availability due to injury/age will catch up with his already present playoff phobia, er failure, beginning this year.
The best ability is availability and he's about to become a liability in that regard as well.

But no worries.
They've got an excellent contingency plan...?
OR NOT! lol

Great times ahead.
And all at a measly 60 mil per year.
Cowboys!
