Has Dak alienated much of the Fanbase

The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.
The fact that Dak had to hold out for the Maximum amount feasible rubs me, and others I'm sure, just for the fact that he came across as more greedy than committed to winning.
Watching all the FA activity for all the other teams and how so many don't sign to the maximum but for amounts they seem respectable.
But not Dak. He didn't seem to give a squat about helping the team. He signed the most crippling contract he could for the teams sake.
Not only will his contract hinder us presently, with the restructures where they convert his salary to a bonus, he will be causing us cap problems well after he is gone for two to three years afterwards.
While his restructuring helps us short term, it will limit us for many years.
When did Dak hold out???

Jethro has been limiting us for 30 years. I hope blaming Dak makes you feel better.

How can anyone blame him for taking the money?

I hold nothing against him. He's just not that good. Not his fault, that's just the way it is
Yes who can blame anybody for being an selfish human being.

Maybe those who have some moral values left ?

Jerry smiles when he sees these threads. And before any emotional poster crashes out I'm not a dak fan.
You are so right.

But thats how a-social media works.

The one who has knowledge and power talks crap and others make a living from that sh/it by setting up forums to talk about it.

unregulated capitalsim: How to make crap out of rubbish and sell it to the deaf dumb and blinds.

I think the fans have alienated Dak more than Dak alienating us.

He's a convenient scapegoat for 29 years of failure. Switch QBs all you want but the problem with this team is at the top. Just as it has been since the last of Jimmy Johnson's draft picks lost their effectiveness in the late 90s.

Not alienated. Many fans now see QB1 isn't going to take this team anywhere, so now everyone simply waits till he's gone and they get a guy who can do something. Fans should be kinda indifferent or at least detached emotionally about getting to a SB.

No i dont think so.

Such a cancer like Dak was needed and one of the best things that happened to all of us.

He helped us to wake up. Now our fanbase has realized and accepted who the Joneses really are.

This wont change again.

Our eyes are open.

This says it all. I would take the money, too.
Every Cowboy fan/poster throwing out the hate would have also done the same. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. The problem is we have never come close to having that kind of money so we have no clue what is it like to be in his shoes. It's why you take the hate with a grain a salt.......lol

That was one of the worst contracts in the league. It’s franchise destroying in a cap world. But stop blaming Dak for it. It’s Jerry’s fault, not Dak’s. We should have just moved on last year. Would we have been any worse off football wise? I know capwise we’d be miles better. But again, blame Dak for his play in big spots. Blame Jerry for paying him.

Not Dak’s fault.
You franchised him twice, and let him play out his contract and sit just days from being a complete free agent. That’s on ownership/gm, not Dak.

Ridiculous. No one takes less than offered. Ownership treated him like crap by not extending him after 3 years and again later.

Dak, like any human bean, pressed for as much money as he could. Blimey, that is on Yoda, not Dak.

Too, Dak has been a solid citizen off the field.
The contract, not Dak, has alienated me.

Unless the guy will be elite they better surround him with the best. If it's another mid qb and they build the team like he's elite it'll be more failure. We build our roster like we have Mahomes

This fanbase has been on track prior to Daks arrival

This fanbase is spoiled from the pre salary cap success

And while we have some knowledgeable and some who think they are social media plays a big part in the divide

I don’t think face to face the type of interaction that happens in here or other cowboy forums would take place
