Dak alienated me as a fan by his terrible play of the QB position. i cannot blame him for taking Jerry's money though, I would have as well
Dak's contract is on Jerry. The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.
The fact that Dak had to hold out for the Maximum amount feasible rubs me, and others I'm sure, just for the fact that he came across as more greedy than committed to winning.
Watching all the FA activity for all the other teams and how so many don't sign to the maximum but for amounts they seem respectable.
But not Dak. He didn't seem to give a squat about helping the team. He signed the most crippling contract he could for the teams sake.
Not only will his contract hinder us presently, with the restructures where they convert his salary to a bonus, he will be causing us cap problems well after he is gone for two to three years afterwards.
While his restructuring helps us short term, it will limit us for many years.
Before the injury hit, I thought Dak had gained back much of his agility. He was moving well again.Jerry alienated the fan base by resigning an aging quarterback to a ridiculous deal that is coming off two major injuries, has lost his ability to extend plays with his legs(granted he's was no Jackson of course), and has played ridiculously bad in the playoffs bar a game.
It's his fault that he's not good, he's smart for milking Jerry into believing he's greatHow can anyone blame him for taking the money?
I hold nothing against him. He's just not that good. Not his fault, that's just the way it is
But when he played good, which has been alot of times, you are quiet.Dak alienated me as a fan by his terrible play of the QB position. i cannot blame him for taking Jerry's money though, I would have as well
Just sit there and eat a bag of skittles like lynch did. No one cares what he says anyway. How can Dak shut up after a loss? He is contractually obligated to talk to the wack arse, useless media after every game.
he didn't hold out!!! he was under contract. he was at camp. Jerry wanted it redone. if he would have redone it properly earlier and not wait wait wait...he could have resigned for 55.The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.

15 QBs make 40M or more.Imagine paying a middling QB 60 million per year….it’s actually hilarious and tragic.
The Dak contract is another instance of Jerry being Jerry, but this time, we're confident on the fail up front and see it playing out for the next half decade.Dak has not alienated the fanbase, Jerry has by signing him to a market setting deal.
Dak got one SINGLE MVP vote.he didn't hold out!!! he was under contract. he was at camp. Jerry wanted it redone. if he would have redone it properly earlier and not wait wait wait...he could have resigned for 55.
Jerry had the choice to say no, I am moving on. but man, the year before Dak was 2nd in MVP and top 10 in jersey sales and that's all that mattered to Jerry. market it and cash in.
this is not a defense of Dak. its contract negotiations and it takes two to tango....but jerry is an idiot. and you blame Dak for Jerry being an idiot and want Dak to save jerry from being an idiot.
and let me ask, lets say it was 60M, would you been OK if it was 55M? is that your point?
and the contract is not hindering...its the Joneses that are hindering. we have 60M in cap space. we can open another 20M if necessary....
and why are you worried about many years later? are you thinking about building a dynasty? those days are over. Philly went all in. pushing money tot he future and they will have to deal with it at some point. in the meantime, the lombardi trophy is in their building....Rams did the same. they sucked for a couple of years but they went to one and won another one.
not sure why you worried about future years..... sounds like you want to blame everything on Dak, where he is part of it, but it starts and ends with the two idiots at the top
Quite!Imagine paying a middling QB 60 million per year….it’s actually hilarious and tragic.
Not really. But when he played good, which has been alot of times, you are quiet.
But...he did it for the brotherhood. The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.

I guess if we can't blame him that he's naive? He sucks, so I can blame him for alienating everyone on principles aloneHow can anyone blame him for taking the money?
I hold nothing against him. He's just not that good. Not his fault, that's just the way it is
Aliens, they better run. Those are being arrested and deported...but No Linebackers. So my point stands, Dak was on a rookie contract. No one blamed Romo for tucking tail and taking the money.....some accuse Dak of faking a torn ligament, did they accuse Romo of faking his injuries? That's why I think it's hilarious....fans being fans, I know....but it's still comical
Are we actually alienated, or are we just disappointed and resigned?Dak alienated me as a fan by his terrible play of the QB position. i cannot blame him for taking Jerry's money though, I would have as well
Just like Jerry, lost in space! LolAliens, they better run. Those are being arrested and deported...but No Linebackers.
Beam me up Scottie, no intelligent life forms here...no, on site.Just like Jerry, lost in space! Lol
I had no Idea Tad was on the MVP voting committeeDak got one SINGLE MVP vote.
Exactly. Some fans still have faith in him. I don’t.
I figured that the next 3 to 4 seasons we will pretty much spinning our wheels no matter how much Jones & Sons spend in free agency or how many home runs we hit in the draft. Dak taking this team a NFC Championship game is a pipe dream.
I’m going to casually watch for the next 3 or 4 seasons just to see how much more his play deteriorates.
