Has Dak alienated much of the Fanbase

I think both can be true.

Dak held the line to get an NFL record setting deal and then ran his pie hole about "not playing for the money".

Dak looks like a liar and greedy.

Jerry has also lost the fanbase with these nonstop dumb contracts. In some sense, he was probably glad to see the Mavericks GM crush his own franchise in one of the worst trades ever. That was comparable to the Hershel Walker trade.
Dak should out and ask for money, for having to play with an incompetent GM.

Dak has little to do with the years of brewing disgust of the fanbase. Can a patient blame the nurse because the doctor placed a bandage on his bullet wound?

How can anyone call an athlete who's paid to entertain selfish? It's not what any of us think concerning his worthiness; the market and owner set the price. Is it selfish for Jerry to spend his money as he sees fit?

His publicity antics have alienated many fans. The constant pushing - including on this site; the photo shoots, the reality TV -esque lifestyle pieces. He's a wannabe celeb first and a football player second.

Not true.

How did so many miss this, that Dak insisted on a shorter term deal? Do you guys seriously not understand what that does to a team?
Dak has to take care of himself and thats fine with me. If he would deliver accordingly, no one would even talk about the length of the extension.

The Dak contract was horrendous when signed but as time goes on, it just gets worse.
The fact that Dak had to hold out for the Maximum amount feasible rubs me, and others I'm sure, just for the fact that he came across as more greedy than committed to winning.
Watching all the FA activity for all the other teams and how so many don't sign to the maximum but for amounts they seem respectable.
But not Dak. He didn't seem to give a squat about helping the team. He signed the most crippling contract he could for the teams sake.
Not only will his contract hinder us presently, with the restructures where they convert his salary to a bonus, he will be causing us cap problems well after he is gone for two to three years afterwards.
While his restructuring helps us short term, it will limit us for many years.
as a long time defender, yes. his contract on its own is indefensible, but contextually with his play, subsequent contracts, and his idiotic brotherhood comments, i am definitely alienated.

Dak will be gone soon enough and we will get another name on a Jersey to yell at from the Jones family....its like killing Frankenstiens Monster then being amazed another shows up and chasing that one down...and the next and the next....the Mad scientist and the lab will be here for a while....

Everyone wants to blame Jerry but he's brought in some good players. It's Dak who's been choking when the playoffs gets here. Jerry can't throw the ball for him.
Dak is garbage!

I think I am going to randomly pick my new team, by where ever Archie Manning ends up.

Nope. Why has Dak so called alienated the fanbase? What has he done minus Roger or Troy that any other quarterback has done? No deep play off run. No Super Bowl. If anybody alienated the Cowboy fanbase? It should be Jerry Jones! Any fan IMHO is alienated from Dak because he hasn't won anything. Should find a new team to root for or hope the Joneses sell the team. Dak or no Dak! This team isn't going any where.

Dak is the one of the worse things to happen to this team. His fan boys and girls are not far behind!

I would just say that if you or I were in Dak's shoes, we'd be seeking the highest possible deal. And why should Dak or anyone else playing for this broken, dysfunctional franchise with zero hope of ever winning a ring, offer a home town discount for the privilege of playing for the Jones clowns?

You guys trying to deflect from Dak and blame Jerry.......

It doesn't have to be one or the other. It's very fair to say Jerry hasn't put a truly championship caliber team together and that Dak is not a difference maker, is not worthy of the contract he received and is not part of the solution.

In other words, they can both contribute to any alienation.
