This is the first game this season where I saw players give up and say the heck with it. Yes, they were being killed, but they had no fight. I didn't expect them to come back, but this is the first time they gave up. This doesn't bode well for Garrett's ability to rally the troops for the stretch run.

If they were smart, they would have given up on him years ago. It is so obvious to anyone with a lick of sense that he is not cut out for this.

It sure looked like the offense gave up tonight. Not a good sign.....

Even as someone who thinks Garrett takes way too much grief, the ending wasn't promising.

No

The defense has no talent. The QB can't play anymore. If Garrett were allowed to switch QB's, you would see improvements in the offense.

I agree. But it's simple: they are so utterly overmatched. They could have tried like heck and lost by 24. Or rolled and lost by 32. This roster...after the injuries and with this coaching...cannot compete with a team like that in a dome road venue.

I don't know if he has lost the team but I do know he always looked lost past 5 years.

I don't think they gave up. They were still fighting - they just aren't good enough.

Two weeks will be a telling game. The Giant game is the season. Win, and they still control their destiny in the division. Lose, and it's look out below.

One more thing: to a man they all know that Jerry screwed the team over when he dispatched one of the most brilliant DC's to the curb in favor of a lost geriatric. I assure you some of the players on defense were talking about this after...and even perhaps during the game.

"Jerry did this. I can't believe Jerry did this." This is what they players were saying...with a lot more color.
