Who's going to be last on Saturday's speech, Emmitt or Jerry? Tough call. Who would you pick and why?

It really doesn't matter but I know one thing they're both going to shed alot of tears.

Maybe this is going over my head, but are you questioning who will be last to give a speech on Saturday? If so, that's easy. It will be Jerry Jones. He will be the presenter for the inductee, who will be Emmitt Smith. That is always the order for Hall of Fame induction speakers.

If you are questioning who will last longest speaking at the podium, that is a good question. It should be Smith, since he is the one being honored, but Jones loves the limelight. He could drag out his time on stage. Still, he's fully aware who will be the real star on Saturday, so I would not think that will the case.

He's questioning whether it will be Emmitt or Jerry going last to give their speech as if going last means they're saving the best for last. I don't think the hall gives the order players are presented any consideration.

Rice will probably speak last since Emmitt has a problem with the english language, but then again, so does Jerry Jones..

If that's the case it will be Emmitt's translator speaking last. :p: Seriously Emmitt speaks alot better than he use to.

Yeah, I'm sure he's better than he was, but he was a complete train wreck every week on ESPN

If left up to me, it would be Emmitt Smith going last. Not because I think he is better than Rice. If I were making the choice I'd want as many of the Cowboys fans butts to stay in their seats for as long as I can. There will be more Cowboys fans than 49ers fans due to the game. If Dallas were not in the game, I believe I'd have Jerry Rice go last.

Many things are debatable in the football world. Like who is the greatest QB, LB, CB, S, etc.

But this weekend you're gonna see the undisputed greatest WR and RB go into the hall of fame. No one has seperated themselves from the field as much as these two. I hated the 49ers but its clear to anyone with a brain Jerry was the best to ever do it.

Emmitt is the same way, no one got better after 30, and the Barry comparisons are nonsense. You can't judge players based on 'what-ifs'.

Gonna be a pleasure to watch the game and the ceremony this weekend.

Like it or not, Emmitt is not the undisputed greatest RB. (He gets your vote, and probably mine, but not everyone's.)

Um... my friend, he meant Jerry Rice, not Jerry Jones.

Who's presenting for Rice, Al Michaels ?

Just say'n:)

Huh? Emmitt is not even remotely close to being the "undisputed" greatest RB. Many many reasonable people think Jim Brown and/or Walter Payton were greater.

On the other hand, as much as it pains me to say it, no reasonable people think that anybody else but Rice was the greatest WR.

Walter Payton was the best all around back I ever saw play.

When Emmitt Smith retired, he was the all-time leading rusher and he still is. That's good enough for me. On Saturday, he becomes a member of the NFL Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed upon anyone in his profession. For one day at least, I hope people can give him his props without mentioning, Barry, Walter and the rest of them. It will be Emmitt's day in the sun. You don't have to be the undisputed best at your position. A Hall of Fame induction is a Hall of Fame induction. Let's give Emmitt his due.

Emmit should practice his speech 50 times and record them. Just replay the best one and lip sync it up there - problem solved.

dont know who will speak last, but it should be Emmitt imo considering the all time rushing record is probably the most prestigious individual record in football

But Jerry Rice is considered by many as the greatest football player in history although he did have 2 HOF QB's who helped him reach that status.

Yes football is the ultimate team sport. Every single player in the HOF had teammates that helped them reach that status. None of them did it on their own
