Has Price learned this offense yet?

do you think by now price has at least a good portion of this playbook down?

i mean i know he missed camp and such but can he contribute NOW????

Bill said he has learned all three receiver positions, so he has been using his time well.

He hasn't yet played any of the three receiver positions (for more than a play or so) under real game conditions. That's the only place to test his "knowledge" of the positions. If he has to think and not just play, it will show up in poor performance.

Well, a route is a route is a route and this is a veteran receiver who has played in both a wco offshoot and did well in Kevin Gilbride's O, which mandated wideouts reading defenses and adjusting on their routes accordingly. He might have had to learn some new nomenclature, but Bill spoke pretty firmly that he has learned all 3 positions.

I admit everytime I've ever heard Price speak I haven't exactly been impressed, but he must have sufficient football smarts. I imagine the time he needs on the field to reconnect with Bledsoe shouldn't take much longer than it did Terry.

The 3rd receiver is pretty much a free-lance position for a guy like Price. He'll be up against the 3rd-4th defenders and will do fine.

He's a pro, he'll do fine. He and Bledsoe obviously have a rapport, which is the most important thing.

He's going to catch his fair share of balls and do fine until Patrick's healthy.

What do block mean?

Non issue - Price has the playbook down. Time to get him out there. Seahags will be paying for Prices frustration on Sunday.

I still can't figure out why the Falcons let him go, the guy is very good. He's gonna shine if we put him in, mark it down.

I agree, Price will put up numbers if given the reps.

he can be a run-off and decoy threat even if he's not got the playbook down 100%. Key Glenn and Witten are still hard for defenses to deal with. I love how Bill Parcells (and now New England) build teams..lots of really good players but no elite stars. This is how we have the depth that we do.

I cant imagine that Parcells would say that his #3 WR isnt worth covering because he doesnt know all of the playbook.

This game will be a challenge for the Cowboys both with a young D that is starting to mesh well, and a offense that has sustained more than its share of unfortunate injuries.

Injuries happen in NFL

Tucker at tackle and don't rule JJ out.

Price as a #3 - yeagh that sucks for us - lol

Injuries happen ? Really ? Who knew. Geez.

Tucker at LEFT tackle the guy was a crappy RIGHT tackle, JJ even if he plays wont be 100% and has thus far been a shadow of the guy I was watching at the end of last season. The one eyed Price...whoo hooo.

Gimme a break Nors.

I do expect this to be a tough game for both teams. I expect no blowout or domination from either side. If one of those things happens, I will have earned a different opinion for both teams. Right now I think this is going to be one of the best matchups of the week.

First of all, Hello to all. I like many out here enjoy reading the posts, but until noe haven't added comment. With that said, I remember Price when he played here at TN with Peyton Manning. While Manning couldn't pull the rigger on a NC, Price was absolutely on fire here most of the time. Granted, that was college-this is pro-and obviously there is a difference. My point is that if Price gets a regular dose of pigskin, he'll really cause problems for opposing teams. My gut feelings about his lackluster performance in Atl. center on a quarterback who prefers running the ball rather than throwing it. Not defending Prices performance- but I think that contributed alot.

I also think Mike Vick was a lot of the reason for Price's underperformance in Atlanta.

Welcome!

The Falcons let him go rather than blame Michael Vick for Price's lack of production.

That's my guess, anyway. :D
