Chiefs/Cowboys on Thanksgiving day

That's good, because if Dak were a boxer he would get the crap beat out of him, and if he were a golfer he would tear his other hammy trying to hit a golf ball thirty yards.
I definitely can't disagree with you there my guy.

I've already seen it. The defense has shown up and Dak still didn't show. The broncos are kryptonite to Dak. And that's when they were a bad team.

I see what you're saying but we can't celebrate recent defenses that we've had the last couple of years too much and here's why.....

Yes, we've had solid defenses that have given our Dak led offenses many opportunities to put points on the board and Dak, at times has not led and put our offenses in position to capitalize and take advantage of those defensive efforts....

With that said..... as talented as those defenses were, they have also contributed to the lack of success of our beloved Cowboys by not being able to stop opposing offenses at times we needed the ball back. How many times in key games have our defense given up 150 to 200 yards on the ground alone?

To add to that, our beloved Dallas Cowboys have led the league in penalties for like 3 or 4 straight seasons. Our talented defenses were responsible for alot of those penalties as well as the offense with illegal motions, holding, too many men in the huddle, false starts, offensive pass interference, illegal hands to the face....

Last time I've checked, those offensive penalties that I've listed above weren't committed by any quarterback in NFL history. I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong.

The NFL is going all out to try to restore Cowboys fans faith in the franchise.
They know that if the Cowboys franchise fails, the rest of the league will, too. The fallout would leave teams in massive debt for all of the stadiums and other projects the NFL has gotten into.
They have taken Cowboys fans for granted for too long and know that many of us long time fans are done.
They deserve whatever happens.
That’s ridiculous. The NFL would do just fine if one entire conference disappeared. The Cowboys are falling so fast the league has to prop them up with top opponents on premier times just to get people to watch.

Excellent accounting of what being a fan means to YOU.

You rightfully expect that you are free to be a fan in the way that suits you. The disconnect comes when you start criticizing "some fans" for being the version of a fan that suits THEM. You expect that you should be able to fan in the way that suits you, but actively condemn and criticize "some fans" for fanning in the way that suits them. For some reason you and a handful of others seem to take it personally when someone takes what can appear to be a negative outlook, then you lash out with a passive aggressive comment seemingly intended to exhibit your superiority as a fan. It's not the end of the world that others have a different opinion.

Just because a fan forms a negative opinion based on the realities they have witnessed over decades, doesn't mean they go into watching a game in a state of "gloom and doom", or "depression". This seems to be another common denominator among the need to be positive crowd. You/they assume the worst possible emotional state of the antagonist and use it against them as if it were a fact.

As far as the team goes. There are some foundational aspects of this team that have consistently failed over an extended period. The result of that is some fans are very likely going to recognize the pattern and adopt an attitude that leans more towards 'show me' than hopeful. There is nothing wrong with that and it seems the prudent thing to do.

When you start making it about the poster and not the post you are getting way out over your skis and that almost always ends up in a 'yard sale'.
As someone whose edjuhmacation is in human behavior I gotta commend you here brother. Very nice job.
An honest yet humble response to this would be the cherry on top but I know that may be asking too much, lol.

Cowboys!

I'm more than ecstatic to see the Cowboys play the best competition in marquee timeslots... both opening day and Thanksgiving. Get out there, and get better.

KC has a brutal 1st half schedule. Maybe they'll just coast in this game and not take it too serious.

If not...

But good food, company and Tums might save the day.
