At the beginning of the season I had higher expectations but adjusted them when he had to have a plate inserted into a broken hand. So yes he has lived up to them.

He's on track to finish with close to 100 catches, 1,200 yds and 12 touchdowns. At the beginning of the season everyone was saying in a Parcells style offense his production would go down because the ball gets spread around more.

I think he's had a great season and he is a big reason why the Cowboys are in position to win the division. What were your expectations?

but is this guy really all he's worth. really???consider the money and the attitude he hasn't lost any games b/c you cant blame him for everything bad in a game but he has't won any for us either.my opinion biggest dumbest smokescreen in the league

I have really thought about this and he is in a different system, and has been a good reciever for us minus a few drops(most drops are uncatchable passes IMO).Therefore I am happier with him than Key but I really thought he was going to play like he did in Philly, just a gamebreaker,he hasn't.The thing is even if its age,etc... he is still a very good #1.I will say I hope he steps up to the ways we are familiar with before he came here and dominate a secondary.

While he has helped alot. He has had some KEY drops. I am not talking about "most drops in nfl" or anything... because Steve Smith has 10... I am talking about the BIG misses... ie. NY, Wash....

In a world of "what have you done for me lately" TO CAN change everything by simply TCB down the stretch here.

Its that simple.

TO is the highest paid WR in the league this year I believe. My answer is NO. Next year I choose BP over TO if it comes down to it.

the better choice is niether

Not true.

If you had to have one and it was BP. It would be a good choice. Romo is not ready to be let go on his own out there.

On the field, I pretty much expected what we got. I did not expect all the drops.

Off the field, yeah, hes lived up to my expectations there too.

No surprises with this guy. You know what your getting. Can you live with it is the question.

I guess thats fine if you think BP is doing a great job of coaching the team, but IMO he isnt and is proving to be more of a liability on game days than a positive..the game has passed him by, especially defensively

I sure hope you have an idea of who is to replace these two important cogs in the puzzle that has gotten us to 8-4 thus far. Otherwise, replacing both will spell disaster. If you're going to call for heads please provide info as to who you see replacing them.

Like it or not this team is built around Parcells. The team has his personality and as Bill goes so does the team. TO commands a double team every time he steps on the field. Even with his broken hand earlier in the season, he came back quickly and continued to command that double team. You call for his head but then you fail to realize what having him on the field does for the rest of the receiving corps. Who is going to replace that? The reality is as TO and BP go, the rest of the team follows.

Yep!! He has been great and I'm glad he's on our team.. Our O would be awful without his presence.... I would like to see more game breaking plays but I'm extremely happy with him.. He's gonna be a HUGE help to us in the playoffs... He makes everyone around him so much better.. Again, glad he's wearing the STAR...

Why does Mansta's reply surprise you? My guess is he has both feet squarely planted on the Cowboys bandwagon while others have one foot on one foot off. Straddling the wagon does not equate to full unequivocal support for the team that has comprised an 8-4 record thus far.

Some people sit around waiting for the "inevitable(in their eyes)" TO implosion. I happen to believe that is very counterproductive. I guess we all need something to talk about though.

It surprises me because Owens hasn't been nearly what I expected as a wide receiver. I tried not to pay attention to him before, but he certainly isn't doing what he did in Philly (on-field or off-field). Does thinking his play has been subpar for "the great TO" mean I don't have both feet on the Cowboys bandwagon?

I'm not talking about "implosion" (his off-field issues). I'm talking about his lack of big plays (on-field).

The average recovery time from the broken hand that TO experienced was reported as being 4-6 weeks. TO was back on the field 4 weeks later. Even having missed those games he is still making noise in the league. He still commands a double team every single play. Teams have to protect themselves from him because they know if they were to let some CB loose against TO one on one the old TO that you all are so yearning to see would come out like gangbusters.

His "lack of big plays" is equating to big plays for the rest of the receiving corps. I don't care who scores just as long as we keep winning. I see the bigger picture.

I agree that he's played slightly above average, even with a broken hand. Perhaps I had inflated expectations, but he was supposed to be "the best" receiver in the league. He has not been that.

Well yes... I agree with Mansta54 that he has been great within the offense AS A WHOLE IMO... we need to see some of the playmaking ability ON TOP OF THAT... make no mistake... without TO in this offense this year we would probably rank somewhere in the middle of the 32 teams.

As far as extremely happy with him... I cant say that yet.

Huge in the stretch run and playoffs - I certainly hope so

Yes he makes everyone around him better and vice versa(other weapons on offense)

I too am glad he is wearing the star... I am optimistic that we will right not only the big ship... but the little ships as well.

I had inflated expectations too but I am not going to bash the guy because I see what he is bringing to the table right now. I've adjusted my expectations. I would prefer that he continue to do what he's doing because that will mean we make some noise in the playoffs this year. We all know come playoff time no one shines brighter than TO. In the playoffs everything is on the line. Teams have to take it up a notch or else they go home. some players can't excel under that intense pressure. TO has proven he can.

i think im a little dissapointed that he hasnt made as many game changing plays as i thought he would. Im also REALLY dissapointed in that drop in the washington game, but the drop issue there was at least 5 of those that he had no chance in catching during the Bledsoe time of the season, some of the others, well, he should have caught them... Overall to this point.. a B+...I just hope during playoff time he wants to get that ring and rub it in donovans mouth.....
