Has the defense shown much exotic looks in practice

I haven’t listened to the practice podcasts because as I said a few weeks ago 90% of what happens with player performances is meaningless.

BUT has CP dialed up many exotic looks or brought chaos thus far? I don’t want chaos to be rushed 5 and then rely on disguising coverages to be what fools the QB. Disguised coverages only matter if the QB has to make quick decisions. Eventually he sees what’s really happening if he can hold the ball.

I'm not sure what you are asking but I wouldn't expect him to show much of his scheme until the season starts.

Irrelevant. What's much more important is if the 3 heralded rooks can contribute right away. That would vault our D into the 10-15 range.

Probably, but not in anything that's available to the public. Everything that is clipped and shared is vanilla.

Drake Maye could not handle exotic looks in the SB.

I would expect they would only run that stuff in the portions of practice not open to the media.

And of course we are just going to see vanilla looks all preseason for obvious reasons.

Parker's theory is more the opposite -- you confuse the QB by changing coverages at the snap to make him hold the ball a second longer, and that gives the rush time to get home.
