Has the team found one yet? Are we a grind it out run first team? Will we just take what's given to us and not force anything from here on out? Will we stretch the field with our newly discovered long threat? Has this team found an identity that they can take with them through the toughest part of the schedule down the stretch?

One thing I did notice that gave me an ounce of hope was the way the guys showed their true appreciation of each other after the game. I've never seen that type of congratulatory togetherness on the sideline. A glimmer of hope perhaps...

The identity of this team is Romo. I dont care how well we run the ball or play defense, this team will go as Romo goes.

possibly........the fact a bye week is upon us is not a bad thing at all IMO. Obviously you have the obligatory injuries to Felix, MB3 and RW, but I think this team needs a mental break right now more than anything else. Start fresh and get ready for a very good Atlanta team.

No.

What is even more trouble is that we don't have an identity on Defense either.

It was either Joe Buck or Troy Aikman that was a little surprised that Keith Brooking could come into this team and be an immediate leader.

According to them, it takes a little longer for that to happen.

Just shows you how devoid of leadership this team is.

We can all hope. But I guess what this team has shown is, we can't trust them yet. You never know what this will lead to. I guess all of us hope and wait it might be big turning point.

But at the same point, penalties were really big time buzz kill. I guess we just have to be happy with a win at this point. Beggars can't be choosers. I have limited faith in Wade, so just hope for the best ( not because of penalties, but I really can't trust his leadership).

umm no. what would the identity of this team be after barely beating KC?

That's true of any of the other 31 teams in the league. Except Cleveland. They go as Billy Cundiff goes:lmao2:

Others have mentioned that this seems to be the type of team that plays to the level of their competition. (lacks the quality coaching necessary to keep them at a consistently high level) Very inconsistent... That hypothesis has legs.

Exactly. When you have vocal leaders like Ken Hamlin, Terrence Newman and Bradie James, who come up small mostly in key situations ( Newman dropped sure Int and end of the game again), you are deviod of leadership. Unfortunately the real players like Ratliff and Ware are not vocal.

Pretty much same on Offense. It should be Witten who should be leader, only consistent player, but you have guys like Roy Williams/Patrick Crayton(can I say how much I am starting to detest Crayton again ? :D ) who talk to the media mostly. Romo is trying to be a leader, but unfortunately when you have WRs like Crayton and Williams who keep taking complaints to media, its hard to be a leader.

We're a talented team that is very poorly coached, undisciplined, and stupid to the core. But at least we're 3-2.:D

The current identity is stupid penalties and overall consistent piss poor play.

This post makes alot of sense.

The team goes as Romo goes but he has to be smart and use the run game and defense to HIS advantage.... avoid giving advantage to opposition.

I liked what I saw from players at the end,it looked as though the proverbial monkey was tossed off their backs.

As far as identity,I don't think they've acquired one yet. It's just to early to tell if this will be a turning point or a glimpse of what could be(bad or good). There were some positives that occured during the game, but there were many more negatives that need to be corrected.I think this team is in a transition, what they transition into is still a mystery.

If the way we played the last few weeks is our identity, I hope we are the victim of identity theft. Because even though we won, we SHOULD have won and it should not have been that difficult. The combined wins of the teams we beat are ONE. That's not a great feat in my opinion. This team lacks discipline and unfortunately we don't have a coach who can provide that.

That is funny.

This, not so much.
