Love my cowboys but it’s been a long time since I was so invested it hurts

So no this year changed nothing but I still enjoy the week to week anticipation

I’ll begin to trust again when the cowboys are free from the jones family but I’ll still love them

It’s just not that serious to me . I’m not a SB or bust fan

This season broke me as a fan. Ownership, by words and action, has shown they don't give a **** about winning in the postseason. Ticket and jersey sales are much more important because they generate lots of revenue and are easy. Jerral and Stephen are mentally incapable of being football guys, they're just grifters at this point.
I was already expecting a losing or barely winning season and missing the playoffs so the W/L thing didn't really change much for me. The interview with the guys from The Fan with Jerry throwing his power and influence around to threaten their jobs was the final straw for me. Right now I watch them with slightly more interest then I watch all the other teams.

I like to see the players get W's and I guess they're still "my team" but I wouldn't care if Jerry lost every game for the rest of his wretched existence.

No. The Cowboys in the early years weren't good. The Cowboys in the late 80's were awful. The Cowboys in the late 90's and early 00's were really bad.

The 2024 version of the Cowboys are 7-8 and guys are acting like this is the worst team in Cowboys history. It's not. Not even close.

I myself am struggling that I didn't watch a Cowboys game on purpose and it's bothering me still! After I found out the Cowboys were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, the Bucs game wasn't important for me to watch. I see highlights show up online and I quickly scroll past it to avoid seeing the game. I feel like my heart was broken this year, yes it's funny based on how this team is run.
Yeah there is a true fan.

NOT!

You have jumped off the bandwagon. I'm not surprised.

For example if we won or loss did it bother you? When the rath of injuries took place, did you question if players wanted to actually come back to an already lost season.

I was done with the Cowboys after Jerry gave Dak that extension.
However, when Cooper Rush came in and took over, it was an unexpected chance to see the Cowboys play for real one last time. The Cowboys started winning, and the Buccaneers game was one of the best games I have seen them play in decades.
And the Bengals game was like watching the Super Bowl.
There are two games left for long time fans to get one last chance to see the Cowboys play.
Next year begins the four year deal that will turn into the end of the Cowboys as America's Team. It will likely be ten to fifteen years, if ever, before the Cowboys really compete again, and that's too long to wait.
It was fun up through the early nineties, but the last twenty-nine years have been a sad joke.

played out as i thought.

no playoffs, no true success, JJ and some posters here are really happy.

next year, same thing, maybe one or done but not due to our success, we play as the NFCE plays out nothing more.

January 1st 2024 until December 31st 2024 turned me off like never before. Sarted with the draft, dragging out contracts to Dak and Lamb, refusal to improve the on field team...the highlight of me giving up on winning a ring was the not letting Dak walk and handcuffing this franchise for years to come. The idiot owner had a chance to build within while finding his QB but refused to. He then has played make believe and snake oil salesmen trying to convince anybody who will listen that we have the pieces here...

This will only get worse fellas, you ain't seen nothing yet which is a shame because we have some building blocks here, but even they come with uncertainty and questions

Agreed.

The way this calendar year was handled…from the “all in” comment with the stopwatch around his neck, to the 11th hour signing of Prescott and Lamb told me these two just don’t have a clue…at all.

There’s no hope, none at all. But y’all can hope for wins the next two weeks all you like and make the two idiots think they’ve got this. Run it back.

Too lazy and uninformed to do any better….with both coaching and players.

Yes. Especially in the Campo/Gailey years.
Gailey went to the playoffs and was here 2 years. That was a 5 year span before Jerry ran out and got Parcells. Hardly compares to the 2 decades of Jerry with no worries at all since he got his stadium. Night and day difference from those teams. There was still a small glimmer of hope back then since we had no idea what Jerry would do for the next 25 years where there is absolutely none now.

That team with the suspect run defense and Dak going into a shell after returning from injury late in the season? That team wasn't making any kind of run at the Super Bowl.
In 2021 Dad played in 16 games and had a great regular season. He had Amari and Lamb as weapons.

I expected a bunch of losses and never expected them to be a competitive team this year.

So I became indifferent to their failure because it was expected for anybody who actually paid attention this offseason.
I expected nine wins this season. And I’ve been right the last three. Yes disappointing.

I believe after Troy Aikman, before Tony Romo. We had like 12 different starting quarterbacks. Even Randall Cunningham, which I still can’t get over was a quarterback for the Cowboys. This is by far ,not the worst team we ever put on the field.
