He's a veteran's veteran, seen a lot, actually played well last season filling in for Luck (5-3). No trade necessary. Would be this Cowboys iteration of Kosar in the 90's.

Kitna, Vinny? Roger? Danny?

It wont matter. WHEN Romo goes down, it is over. They needed to get Glennon last year.
It's not about if Romo goes down for the year. If he did go down for the season then let your young guys on the roster get some experience.

This is about getting somebody who can best manage the offense if Romo goes down for a half, a game or two.

It doesn't matter who we get, or if Dak even wows us in the PS. They won't conform the offense if Dak was at the helm and he will fail in the JG offense.

Having said that they need to go after the other Clevland QB, Austin Davis that torched us a couple of years ago, and also broke every record of Farves in college! The kid has moxie. But what the hell do I know. If we lose Leary for any QB I will be furious however!

Tim wasn't that good when he played...after all these years on ESPN I can't see him being any better. (Joking)

I think Matt is done too...not sure he would want to grind out another training camp especially since Romo will be taking rest days and his reps would increase.

Say it in every thread let the young guys get their reps and bumps and bruises. I think and hope Romo will stay healthy but it's over if he doesn't. Let's lose w/ rookies who have something to gain then a aging vet. Then we may have an idea next draft if we need qb or if we saw enough in Dak-Showers

I agree, but I bet the jones boys want a vet and will get one.

The idea is to get someone to hold the fort if Romo misses the second half of a game or 1-2 games. In that scenario having a vet who isn't a deer in head lights is beneficial. Of course if Romo were to go out for most of the season like last year it won't matter who the backup is but that's true of most other teams with elite QBs.

Wouldn't work anyways.

If you can't create with your feet then you won't have any success in Dallas.
If you are not Romo , you will have no success in Dallas. The offense has been created for one player, Romo. Dallas is going to stink for a long time after he retires.
