Hate On The Refs Thread

I am sick and bloody tired of the refereeing we've been seeing for the last three games. Tonight:

-The first pass completed by the Skins was NOT complete. Why Garrett didn't challenge it, I don't know.

-Ware was tackled and held so many times it's ridiculous. Not one of those holds was called.

-That unnecessary roughness call against Ball was utter BS

-The hold late in the game against Bennett was very weak

-How many times were the Skins offensive linemen offsides?

There shouldn't be this many questionable calls. It's obscene.

On the ball penalty, moss gets up and spins the ball right in front of the ref. The only person I have ever seen called for that was TO.

I know holding happens on many plays, but how many BLATANT holds did Trent Williams get away with?

At least four. Three of those were outright tackles from behind. How the refs missed all three of them is unbelievable.

How can Ball get flagged for his hit and Landry not get flagged? Unbelievable!

I saw Ware held at least 4 times and it was never called.

Poor officiating for sure!

I dunno.

I thought both plays were clean football.

The fact that either would be worth a penalty is frustrating. Only one of them getting called is damn near worthy of knocking holes in the wall.

I am usually not one to call out Refs, its a hard job and i honestly believe they do the best they can with the speed of the game. However, this game was horrible.. many holding calls not called, the BS call on Ball, a tick tack call on bennett but no horse collar on the tackle on the same play.. it was horrible.

The one play that had me livid was the no-call fumble. That ball was obviously out. I'm not sure....did the Skins recover or something?

I was also upset on one of Felix's long runs....Bennett gets called for a hold, but FJ was hit three yards out of bounds.

Then, a ticky-tack personal foul on Ball.

Inconsistent.

Awful, one sided officiating tonight. Would be nice to see the league actually care sometime when crews are this awful.

dunno....they caught the hold on Tellus, that gave us a 1st and goal from the 2.............and we didnt do nothing with it.......

dont know if it even's out over the course of a game, but gotta take advantage of the calls you get......

Tonight was one of the worst jobs I've ever seen by the refs in my entire life. This was just garbage.

Hell the one time Ron was trying to show highlights to praise Williams for how he was doing against Ware on 2 of the 3 plays they showed he was friggen holding the hell out of Ware.

He got away with at least 6 tonight himself. I know this happens, holding always does, but I'm not talking about your run of the mill holds that refs missed. Williams got way with absolutely mugging ware with holds all night including one late in the 4th where he actually friggen tackled Ware around the legs and they didn't call it.

Then that BS penalty on Ball for a clean, hard, shoulder first hit...yet Landry can lead with his helmet into the chest (which I'm actually fine with to be honest with you, as I think you should be able to hit that way) which every week the NFL says that theyre not allowing a defender to lead with a helmet at all. Landry gets no flag and Ball does?


The refs tonight were absolute trash.

Oh and so the Skins fans here don't think I'm saying that it all went the Skins way, i don't. I thought the facemask called on Hall was pretty questionable. His had just appeared to graze the face mask to me. I didn't see him grab it so i thought that was pretty ticky tacky as well.

it happened earlier in the game also. watch he grabs Ware by the ankles and tackles him to the ground.

Even on the last play of the game, Ware was being held by two players! Even though Spencer made the play I was still pissed, at that point knew they were not missing those calls, they just flat out not calling the holds.

I would love to hear the officials explain exactly what Ball was supposed to do on the play he was penalized. Lay down? Back up? Jump real high? Just avoid contact any way possible?

Costa told Romo that the Commanders were calling their own snap count and that's what threw off Costa on those snaps. If so, that should be a penalty on the Commanders. Costa's probably lying though, he's been having that problem since week 1

normally really hate these type of threads, but that was pathetic.

two ankle tackles. one time grabbing the back of the helmet and pulling down to the ground. two bear hugs. and a partridge in a pear tree.

and not a single flag.

The defenseless WR calls are ridiculous. Landry's was a good no-call, just a great football hit.

Ball led with the shoulder, hit with the shoulder. I guess he needs to let the WR make a move first before hitting him.

Put the skirts on them if you want to call it that way.

That last play when they held Ware with two people was just awful. You could tell all the no-call holding/tackling was frustrating Ware.

It was frustrating me!

I almost never complain about the refs, but I saw sooooo many holds against Ware that weren't called... Then they call a really ticky-tac hold on Bennett...
