I wanted a title that sums up my frustrations with hearing this whiny mealy-mouthed nonsense I have endured about this draft and this off-season as a whole.

I fully believe any intelligent football man would have made the moves Dallas did this off-season with slight variation. People arguing for drastically different results are most likely clueless.

Do people have the right to question the Dallas front office? Sure. Do they need to at least be consistent when doing do? Of course. Don't tell us they need to not trade down because they don't reliably draft with later choices than cry when they trade up for better than listed trade chart value.
Don't pull a Norm and say we can't find guys in rounds 3-7 then list 7 of them all since 2004. Don't try to sell us the entire Jerry era as the same drafting team. Don't tell us we don't draft guys to push what we have then say it was a waste to get Claiborne because we had a pretty good Jenkins. Don't say we are in a cycle of drafting to replace bad draft picks then lament how it doesn't make the roster better to draft who we draft....

Don't sell the nonsense that the Giants so love pass rushers and ignore DBs. They over-draft DBs and still paid Antrel Rolle a fortune as a great coverage FS.

Don't tell us Livings and Bern can't start games for quality offensive lines when they did just that last year.

And stop selling us the front office in Pittsburgh or New England when they have such highly drafted guys as mere back ups. They got lucky with Harrison and Brady same as we did with Romo. And they draft guys who simply can't play as well as we do. If they'd drafted MartyB he'd be considered a phenomenal use of r2 pick that offers rare NFL talent who just isn't starting because of the all-world guy in front of him.

I don't see too many people asking for vastly different results, just a few things that we didnt do that we should have. Personally, I would have done everything roughly the same except I would have signed a veteran center in FA or drafted one in the first 4 rounds.

Other than not addressing our glaring hole at center (and what I consider questionable moves at guard) this was a great offseason. Signing the best backup QB and corner on the market, a starting safety, a veteran MLB and FB and drafting the best defensive player on the board and future starter at DE were all great moves.

I've kept my reading of this section of the forum to a minimum lately. I guess I'm pretty happy about that as I haven't seen all the whining about our draft picks. Though I have to admit, I'm quickly getting sick of the people whining about other people whining.

How is that for redonkulous. :laugh2:

Nice Post JT

Its seems like we get more and more here complaining. I understand this is a forum for opinions but it does get frustrating trying to get thru all the giberish.

Maybe its me.....I set my standards high and realize its hard to achieve. I dont look at winning a lousy playoff game as success. Some do ....they must....why would they keep on bringing it up here constantly.

But at draft time....I understand the frustration.....we have our pet cats. But look at some of the mocks and see how it played out.....alot of our pet cats got drafted higher then expected. But it doesnt matter to some....Jerry should still get them....trade up...trade down....trade future picks.....just get their pet cats.

Then when all that happens....they will complain we paid too much....then in 3 yrs when half of them failed to make the team......they will complain Jerry doesnt know what he is doing.

It is what happens here......

But thats the way it is......its a forum.....gotta have thick skin and a tight lip sometimes.....I know Ive typed alot of reply to messages that never made to being posted because I realize I dont have the energy to get in a dumb discussion.

If we needed a center don't you think that our GM and staff would know that. Did you ever stop and reason that they may have something up there sleve, maybe a center is already on the team, just because they did not draft who and how you wanted does not mean this is not an exceptional draft. The draft is and always will be an hit and miss process. Wait and see my friend wait and see.

when you have a team that has been mediocre most of the last 15 years then the Front Office deserves no trust until the team shows results.

Jerruh has squandared what trust he got in the 90's years ago.

Poor drafts and poor personell decisions are there for all too see. Those claiming things have changed said that before. And look what happened a few years later.

What some refuse to admit is that until a clear trend of improvement on the field is seen and maintained this will keep happening.

And it should.

The same GM and staff that thought Costa was a great idea last year or Ball before that?

Why would anyone dare question their decisions
