Have Cowboys Done Anything Right This Offseason?

...The price for Hitchens was way too high to pay, Bisaccia wanted to leave to reunite with Jon Gruden and the decision on Irving turned out to be right one. The blossoming defensive lineman was never in danger of leaving the Cowboys and they got a cheaper deal for him in 2018. Dallas could also still swing a trade for Thomas, depending on what the Seattle Seahawks’ asking price is.
On the flip side, some of the moves by the Cowboys have been well received:
The good news is the draft is right around the corner and can help shape how we remember the offseason. It can also make a huge difference in how the 2018 season turns out. Right now, the draft might be the only thing to salvage this dumpster fire of an offseason according to some fans. However, the masses rarely like what the Cowboys do on draft night either, so expect more disappointment. Dallas Cowboys fans have become increasingly pessimistic about their team; a long drought of any substantial success will do that to you. It would be nice to be patient and see the results before judging, but that isn’t in Cowboys fans’ nature. There’s a long way to go before the season begins, hopefully, the all the panic is misguided. Then we’ll all have a good laugh together, it’s the American Way for America’s Team!

- Bringing in Sanjay Lal as receivers coach.
- Signing Allen Hurns.
- Signing Cam Fleming as a swing tackle.
