Have I missed something here? Or we haven't had any update on Romo

is it possible that we've had absolutely no update on Romo's status?

It's been 19 days since his injury. Almost 3 weeks.

We were told the day after that his recovery would be 6-8 weeks.

And since then.........nothing. No update of any kind.

Has he been re-evaluated?

Has the recovery time been adjusted?

When can he start throwing?

Colts game is 6 weeks removed from the injury.
Is that a possible return game?

Chances are it has just not been asked about or brought up.

The current big thing is Wade was fired and Jason is now the HC.

That is what the media is focusing on.

Just like in sports or regular media situations...they go with the hot story at the time and other things tend to be on the back burner. Once something else becomes the soup du jour they move on to that new thing and forget the old.

So I take it the whole Jason thing is taking top priority for now among the media and the other has fell to the side for now.

Also, wasn't it reported that Romo is not talking to any reporters at this time?

Personally, I don't need an update on his condition. It's only been 3 weeks, and I'm sure he'll be out at least 6 weeks.

...and the team is not making him. It's an evil conspiracy and an affront to JJT and the other local media. :laugh2:

Just joking of course but you are right, he has not talked to the media yet but I think WG posted something that said he would be talking with the media soon.

No doubt. It certainly has taken a back seat.

Have you seen/heard anything since that Monday?

Has any legit team source even speculated on when he'd start throwing or a possible return date?

No I have not.

But I have been busy doing some work to my home...to the point where I have been offline a great deal, so I am sure I have missed quite a bit.

From your lips to gods ear. I hope he's out 6 weeks. That would be great. When the prognosis was first made, I immediately looked over the schedule and counted out the Saints game. Thursday short week, that would be less than 5 weeks.

But the Colts game would be 6 on the button. As much as I'd like to see him back for that game, I'd certainly settle for the next one against the eagles.

That would give him 4 starts to end the year and a real chance for this team to build a little momentum for 2011.

I'd rather he sit out the rest of the year and let it heal completely instead of testing it out in meaningless games in a dead season.

The media is waiting for McGee to take the field so they can start a QB controversy. Jerry is in on it too, he said so on his radio show today. When the Cowboys are bad, he uses controversy to keep fans interested. :laugh2:

i think Garrett was asked about Romo today and he said "he's rehabbing and spending alot of time at Valley Ranch."

The bone will show evidence of healing on xray. That and the normal timetable for return from past experience will guide them adequately. When he returns he will be at no further risk than anyone else on the field for a broken bone.

This. I don't want him getting exposed to more hits/sacks as a result of the crappy offensive line.

I know that he had certain media days during the week when he was playing, which was generally Wed or Thurs. But since he's been injured, he hasn't spoken to the media beyond the postgame session after the injury.

Maybe Romo is deferring to Kitna since Kitna has taken the QB spot.

I thought Cowboys training staff was saying it looked more like 8 weeks. His fracture is closer to the outside of the shoulder which takes longer to heal. Aikman's was closer to the neck so those breaks heal faster.

Before the coaching change I was hoping they would put him on IR. But if the Cowboys are looking better towards the end of the season, I wouldn't mind him playing at least 3 games just to see how we would do with Garrett as the HC.

But again if there is no improvement, we might as well put him on IR.

The media deserve what they get and I hope Romo gives it to them; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Actually, I think he should come back when he can. ASAP health-wise
He can avoid those take downs. Its his style.

That was not very Romo-like when it happened.

Also, is he using the hyperbaric chamber?

why not play him? if he reinjures it again he has all offseason to heal up. i say play him. you are only giving so many opportunities to play football at a young age might as well do it and try to win some football games.

I agree he needs to play the second he is able to. The team needs it going into the off season and Jerry needs him to play to put butts in the seats.
