Have any of you ever dated Eagles, Skins, Giants, or even Niners or Saints fans? If so, how was that like? Was dating an Eagles fan alot like a Democrat dating a Republican?

Personally, I dated a Packers fan awhile back. Was odd at first b/c of course, she hated Dallas, even more so than Da Bears, but she was nonetheless kind and respectful. A good experience overall.

Also dated a Packer's fan for a short while. Didn't last long, but nothing to do with that.

I dated a niners fan for a while. Turns out that was one of her best qualities. Cheating, lying and theft being her bad ones.

My two best friends are Packer and Seahawk fans. We have a great relationship. I respect fans of other teams. What I don't respect are homers who can never admit anything. I have another friend who is a Packer fan and he will never admit when the packers play bad but he will be the first one to call me during a Cowboy loss.

I have problems with the homers. I love the Cowboys but if we play bad, I'm big enough to say "Romo had a bad day" Likewise, I respect any fan who can be objective and fair regardless of who they follow. My best friends are good guys like this. They will be fair and objective. My Seahawk fan friend called me and told me he thinks Dallas will kick the Giant's #$# although he hates the Cowboys.

I nag her all the time about her team and how ours is far superior!! I CANNOT WAIT TIL THE GAME!!!

Honestly....I wouldnt mind dating a non-Cowboy fan.....as long as she was a football fan, since it is my favorite sport. I also don't mind if she is a fan of my most hated teams, as long as her fanship is genuine, and not fairweather, bandwagon, or brought about just to spite me.

However, I would prefer to date a Spurs fan, since I live in San Antonio, and they are our franchise.

But in all seriousness......who a gal roots for is not even remotely in any of my must have criteria for dating. Being a sports fan, YES. Rooting for my teams, NO.

It makes it a lot easier if your spouse or significant other is a Cowboy fan. My wife is a bigger fan than me and yells at the TV and gets upset at me if I'm typing on this forum instead of giving 100% focus to the game at hand. I'm really lucky. She is the real deal. I know a lot of girls pretend to be a fan but they only really support the team because you like them. She is not like that. She is an insane fan and gets really worked up during the game. I have to console her at times. It's funny.

My girlfriend's family is full of Jets and Giants fans, but I converted her to a Cowboys fan pretty quick and now she's buying more cowboys gear than I've bought in a lifetime. She's already bought me two jerseys, visors (which she makes us both wear on game day because she thinks they're good luck), tickets to 3 games, including the Miami game this year which she also bought plane tickets for, and she's even starting to learn the numbers and names of non-skills players (which I think is the sign of a true fan).

I haven't met many women who are into sports in general though, they are usually casual fans of what ever team their dad or uncles happens to root for, but not much more than that.

Sounds like you are also a lucky man. Yeah, my wife made that weird switch too. I dated a lot of girls who casually supported the Cowboys alongside me but wife is really hardcore about the team.

I did the unthinkable: I realize I probably blew my chances of getting in to heaven, but In November I married a die hard Commanders fan. When we met, I actually thought I'd be able to convert her, but it aint happening. She hates the cowboys (although secretly, I think she digs Romo) and I hate the skins. It has caused a couple of arguments. She has realized how serious this is, and knows when to back off. We actually went to the last boys - skins game.

I married a 'Los Angelas' Rams fan.

I've heard CBZ40 dated a Chicago Staley's fan.

I'm also married to a die-hard Commanders fan. He says rooting for the Cowboys is my one failing in life...

We also have different opinions on religion and politics, but we've approached married life with the idea that we can be disagree even about some big things and still be civil and realize when to leave well enough alone. I knew it was going to work when he bought tickets to a Commanders game while we were dating, and I showed up in a Cowboys hat. He rolled his eyes and asked me if I was REALLY going to wear that, and then figured it was useless to argue...we had a great time regardless.

Me ex-wife is from Pittsburgh, PA, and is a die hard Steeler's fan. We divorced in 1994. Remember what happened the next season? :D It sweet rubbing it in.

My second marriage is a lot better, she's a Cowboys fan. ;)

Hell no.

I couldn't see that with a happy ending.

So I married a woman who was just so-so on the NFL and educated her. Now it's all good.
