That's why I say that if a guy doesn't want to deal w/ the media, Dallas is the wrong team for him and he should go to Seattle where the media rarely dare to venture haha.

Everybody about the Cowboys is sensational and that means ratings. They're an easy sell for the media b/c people, love'em or hate'em, wnat to know what's happening in Dallas.

Here's something: how many other teams' cheerleaders have had a reality show about how they're chosen? Does anybody care? Nope, but when it's Dallas...and that uniform, and that Star, everybody wants to know.

Make no mistake, the media loves the Cowboys. They don't root for us or against us when it comes to winning, but they truly LOVE this team. Jim Rome flat out admitted it.

Cowboys = Ratings. And that is all that they care about. It's their job. Their profession. They need people to watch. Period.

Therefore, good or bad, everything we do is magnified. In some offseasons we are picked to win it all by so many "experts" that it makes the other NFL fans sick. Our QB won his first game over Carolina and became a media darling overnight. We hit 3-0 last season and soared to the top of every power ranking out there. We're "America's Team". Commentators shout things like "The legend of Tony Romo continues to grow!!!", and the guy hasn't even won a playoff game yet. Year after year we have the most nationally televised games. You don't care about the Cowboys? You're out of luck buddy.

And we all know about the other side of that "magnification". When we went 3-1 last season we not only weren't the best team in the league anymore, but not even the 2nd best team in our division. The Skips of the world said, "I told you so". When we lose we are the laughing stock of the NFL. The first thing to talk about on Around the Horn, First and Ten, or PTI. The only thing that could screw a man who registered 20 sacks in one season out of the DPOTY award? A collapse by the Dallas Cowboys. What a shame.

The truth is, the media goes how the Cowboys go. If we had won the superbowl last year, the media love would make even the most diehard Cowboy homer sick to his stomach. But we collapsed late in the season, in an absolutely pathetic effort. So now Roy Williams is only about as good the Giants' Steve freakin' Smith, and Tony Romo is being ranked behind QBs like Aaron Rogers in fantasy football.

Enough with the "the media hates us" stuff. Fans of the other NFL teams also sound silly when they make it sound like the media/NFL/refs "want the Cowboys to win a superbowl". Untrue. Don't delude yourself into thinking that they care if we win or lose. They simply care. Period. And I have no problem with that. It means that I can turn on my TV any time I want and hear some Cowboys talk. I love it the most when it is negative. I mean, what fun would sports be if everyone actually thought your team was going to do well?

Embrace the love. Embrace the hate. Embrace it all. America's Team baby! :D

Of course, 90% of you wouldn't be fans if the networks didn't show a lot of Cowboys games, but oh what a traitor that Troy Aikman is, always criticizing Romo.
Continually polling your fellow Commanders fans will only net you flawed results every single time. You're wrong about Aikman too. He doesn't criticized Romo all the time, only half of the time.

It's a fact because I conducted a poll which included Everyone-Who-Hates-The-Cowboys, Everyone-Who-Loves-The-Cowboys and Everyone-Who-Wants-To-Bear-Our-Children. 50% said yea, 50% said nay and 100% said not tonight dear. I don't understand those percentages either, but I can assure you that the poll was very scientific.

Seriously, you Cowboys fans are troopers, I don't know how you do it.
:shush:

Okay, okay, okay. I'll let you in on a secret. Don't tell your friends!

At anytime we feel our loyalty for the Dallas Cowboys wavering in the slightest, we glance over at the Washington Commanders logo, smile inwardly and say to ourselves, "Damn. It's good to be us". :)

Remember :shush:

Yup ..... thats why you post over once a day on a Cowboys message board.

Either you are obsessed ...... or Trolling.

Which is it?
bored at work mostly. I check this one, and my Skins board, regularly.

I like football, and i know how i feel but i like to listen to how the other side, in this case y'all, think. I try not to be inflammatory, or rude, and simply offer varying opinions. Feel free to ignore me, if you have issues with me enjoying football discussions in any form or forum.

Also like hearing the off topic political discussions, regardless of football team passions.
