Well most of these guys already got paid. Who gives a **** right? They get their $250,000 game paycheck win or lose.

Slate my friend, you are 100% correct.

Too many guys just dont give a crap if the team wins or loses. As long as they get their check on Tuesday, drive their sports cars, and bang hot chicks, thats all they really care about.

There are a couple of exceptions (see Brookings on 4th down stop), but for the most part its just a job to most of them.

Fans take loses alot harder than the players do.:(

oh good more whining, I was expecting to read a positive thread, but the jokes on me.

I am afraid the joke is on us fans who were expecting to get a playoff win this year.:(

and another thing it seems like these players only play one half - a football game is 60 minutes

that one reason Joe Juraszek needs to fired - Strength and Conditioning coach

yeah Ive noticed. Its just so easy to blame the QB. Tony hasnt been as crisp as we're used to seeing but its almost like he's running a daycare out there.

How many times does Tony have to get Bennett in position?
What has to happen for Jerrah to tell Phillips to take a hike?
What has to happen for Red to manage the game like a football coach and not a Princeton nerd?
What has to happen for the team to show positive emotion like Brookin, Ratliff and Barber?
What has to happen to get this team to win 7 or 8 in a row and become an elite team?

Thoughts???

What has to happen for fans to realize that five Super Bowls won decades ago means nothing as far as this group of players is concerned?

What has to happen to realize that 3-2 isn't time to give up on a season?

What has to happen to not call for firing every coach and player every time they go .500 over a four game stretch?

What has to happen for people to remember the stench that was Quincy, Hutch, Leaf, and Vinny before Romo came along?

I understand the ball control philosophy, but I wish we could get to the line a little faster. I am happy with the O-line for the most part so far this season, but miss the authoritative way the 90's line moved after the play call. I remember they all clapped their hands at the same time and moved together with a purpose as they took their stance. Repetition.

Tony Romo is not the problem, he is the solution. But one man cannot carry a football team, cannot make up for poor habits (unbelievable penalties that kill drives and discourage players who are makigng plays), lack of concentration, lack of heart and lack of confidence in the game plan.

There is nothing wrong with criticising the coaching staff when the team is obviously unprepared and confused. Can you not see that when the offense is lining up? Tony is constantly redirecting players to their assigned positions. Routes are run improperly and lead to interceptions. Assignments are blown and the results are devastating. This team should be 4-0. There was no game that was out of reach. One play in either loss would have made the difference. I am frustrated because I am a FAN and I SEE the potential of this talented group.

I think it unfair to lump critical thinking as Whining!!!

I hope you understand that Mrs. Jones!!!!

Bradie James is a huge failure. It's good to see he still helps the opponent up and pats them on the head after getting ran over. If only Brooking were 5 years younger

Yup he sucks ..... I bet he is last on the team in tackles year after year.

Nobody respects that guy.

Have you noticed that:

* The Offense Shows NO Positive Energy in or coming out of the huddle
* When Tony is preparing to call the signals, he is consumed with pointing, yelling, moving people around and telling players where they should or should not stand
* The Offense does not look like they have practiced together
* Route running is p*ss poor. See Miles on the intercept
* You do not have to be a speedster to get separation. Good route running and good play calling will do the trick. We have neither.
* Tony looks like he is carrying the load all by himself
* He has been forced to take a "no lose" attitude. We don't have that good of a team. We need Tony to attack the defense
* The running game is spectacular but Red Ball goes away from it at just the wrong time
* Red Ball has not found a way to incorporate a dink and dunk offense with the big receivers that are outstanding (why throw to Hurd twice in a row and have Witten and Bennet out of the action)
* Wade is a colorless, inspires not confidence and does not get anything out of this team that they would not give in a "mail it in" performance
* This team needs a Positive Mental Attitude, they do not. It comes from the top and the top is teetering waiting for the inevitable ax to fall on a balding pate.

Go Cowboys!!! What I would give to see what Jimmy Johnson could do with this talent.
:bang2:

Excellent post. I've been wondering while watching if they even practice half the plays they're trying in the game. People never seem to be lined up right. Romo is always having to tell them they're in the wrong spot. So by the time he's at the line reading the defense he's got about 6-7 seconds left on the play clock. We look completely and totally disorganized most of the time. It's grating for sure.

One thing that is concerning is that Bennett said, after the Carolina game, that the fade routes in the endzone they are throwing are plays that they don't even actually practice during the week. Why on Gods Earth would we be running plays that we're not even practicing? That's stupid.

I heard something on Talking Cowboys recently that I'm starting to believe might be the best bet. I think maybe Garrett is trying to run too many different plays and they're not practicing them enough to run them well. It might be time to scale back the number of plays and just run things, mixing it up of course with pass and run and all that, a certain amount of plays until they're to the point that they can run them really well.

While this team isn't at all the Nineties teams, and everyone knows that, but one of the things the 90's teams did great was that they didn't need a crap ton of plays to be great. I mean two of their best plays was the lead draw and then the slant to Irvin. I mean everyone knew we were going to run it. They knew it. But they couldn't stop those plays cause we just ran them so well.

This team needs to get to that. It needs to get to where it has a handful of plays that they just run to perfection to where even if the defense knows what we're running they still can't stop it.

I shouldn't even ask this... But when players don't know where to line up on offense, how is that Wade's fault?

Are you serious? If they're not lining up right in the game the chances are that they line up wrong in practice as well. I mean I seriously doubt that we're showing up on Sunday and people just suddenly don't know where to line up. That is something that has to be a problem when they're in practice. If it's still a problem in games it means Wade, and his staff, are not doing their job of getting it down and fixed in practices.

Start one, I'm sure you can make something up.

Oh come on. Now while there is plenty to be upset about there is no way you can sit there and say that people would have to make something up to be positive about. There are some posititves on this team.

You're going to tell me how hard Ratliff, Bradie and Brooking are playing are not positives? Those are huge positives. I wish we had a few more guys on defense playing just as hard as those 3.

Choice, Barber, and Felix when they've been given the chance, though Garrett seems hell bent on taking as many chances away from them as possible, have been totally positive. They're running hard, well, and doing their job.

The special teams has been absolutely amazing to this point. How is the improvement on special teams not a positive? The speical teams are so much better thus far than they've been in recent memory. Another quality positive.

So there is no need to make anything up. It's just a matter of being willing to admit the positives along with all the negatives.

I wonder if Jerry has thought about using something different. For instance, this week instead of OMAHA Romo can shout out GEICO.The following game he can use FORD.I'm sure there can be extra revenue generated by doing this......:D :D :D

Are you in sales and marketing?

Yes, I'm serious. Wade is running the defense full time now. Whatever is wrong with the offense is on Garrett. I thought we'd established that we basically have a co-head coach situation with Wade, for whatever reason, having pretty much no say over what Garrett does. So blaming Wade for a WR and QB being on different pages on an option route makes about as much sense as blaming Garrett for a DB blowing a coverage on defense.

But this weird situation is on Jerry. Maybe one day a reporter will actually do some investigating and let us know what the deal is with the whole Wade-Garrett-Jerry dynamic.

Trade them all for first round picks that Jerry will screw up.

I am not gonna feed my kids till Jerry hires a real GM ..... that will show him.

If he would just hire a real Football man like say Bill Parcells ..... we would have won a Superbowl within 3 years.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. There are some people who's entire purpose in life is to complain about things. (not you bbgun)

There are some people that will never be pleased unless everything is perfect according to their version of perfect.

If you are implying that Chocolatelab is a Jones sycophant with the Mrs. Jones comment you are as far off base as some of your comments. I am not a big fan of Wade Phillips either but I am willing to see several more games being played before calling for the firing of the coaching staff.

Yes Wade Phillips is overall responsible but it would be hard for him to overrule Garrett when he is in the play calling moment. I don't think he has that level of offensive expertise in the unlikely event the over finessing red haired ***** had to be benched for hallucinating. Phillips is a defensive coordinator by trade.

I am still a huge Tony Romo fan and he has to play better. That loss wasn't chiefly on him. This Oline always wilts from the pressure of a fast athletic defensive front, particularly on the left side. That fumble was on the Oline as much as it was on Tony. Few quarterbacks can recover from a speedy defender pass rushing unabated to the quarterbacks blindside. You either get crushed or you fumble.

But Tony did throw erratically even under mild pressure and our defense wilted in the 4th quarter. Despite all this I am waiting to see how we respond in the Chiefs game and at home. A loss to the Chiefs will be devastating, I don't see us losing this game but stranger things have happened.

If we did lose to the Chiefs it woudn't shock me if Jones then would be on a course to make coaching changes. It also appears to me that we need another veteran receiver because Williams is a great No. 2.

I never said he sucked. Why don't you learn to read instead of being a ********? He is a failure. Just look at the Marshall touchdown. If he wants to make the Pro Bowl so badly he makes that tackle. But according to you everything is fine. Just have faith right?
