Maybe I'm just not listening to the right shows.
1) Did you notice these super huge, puffy helmets on some players? A Lion player had one. It was nearly double the size of the ordinary helmet. Can you tell me what these are?

2) I have heard contradictory evaluations of Spann-Ford as a blocker. Some say he's our best blocking TE. Watching the Bills with their 2 TE/1 WR stack kill it the other night, is Ferguson good enough with Spann Ford to pull this off?

3) I have not heard any criticism of the kickoff changes. I hate them. Is everyone else ok with this?

4) I was surprised that the NFL continued to allow the tush push. Did this surprise anyone else?

5) I keep hearing that Malachi Lawrence has graded out very well, yet no one talks about him at all. There was quite a bit of praise for Barham. My guess is that Overshown is done. Yes, he'll come back, but it will be hard for him ever to get the confidence of the coaches if he is repeatedly injured.

6) Last---and I'll probably get flamed for this---but Dallas has given up an average of 6 ppg LESS than last year so far. If before the season I'd have said, "would you be happy with this D if it cuts down the points per game against by six?" I think people would have been ecstatic. I think they can get it down by 2-3 more, probably not more than that. Which would put them in the top half of the league in scoring.

All of these questions have been discussed ..

1) Those are padded concussion protection wraps for helmets that the NFL approved for use in games to reduce concussions especially the players with a history of them. Players have the option to use them if they want.

2) Teams gameplan with the players they have. The Cowboys have two high paid wide receivers, so they get the focus.

3) The kickoff changes were first implemented during the 2024 season and tweaked in 2025. They are not new for the 2026 season.

4) Teams voted on the "tush push" play during the off-season and allowed it to remain in the game.

5) Fair or not, Lawrence will be judged by most fans based on sacks, while Barham will be judged based on stops and turnovers.

6) Wins matter. Points allowed are topics for discussion when looking for blame or excuses after losses.

I understand why some do it but to be honest if it gets to a point, in my lifetime, where 2/3 of the players, or so, are wearing these I will not be able to continue watching the NFL

Schottenheimer has never used the TE as a down the seem receiver threat. The position is mainly used as a safety valve/check down for the QB and red zone mismatch.
Ferguson was originally drafted to be a blocking TE. His limitations in the passing game have been fairly apparent the last couple of seasons. In Buffalos system he would be a serviceable player you hold onto until you find a better player.
Spann-Ford was touted as the best blocking TE by more than one analyst during games last year.

If I remember correctly Eze had a fairly high pass rush win rate last season. It never materialized into sack.
One source said he had a 27% pass rush win rate vs the Giants but it only translated into a 1/2 sack.
Most of what I've seen with Lawrence has been him being used as mostly a pass rusher without much run and coverage responsibility so his early pass rush win rate is probably a bit skewed and taken with a grain of salt.
He's a developmental player learning a new system that will probably be next season before he puts up sack numbers.

I know all too well about this topic.

Happened to me back in 2014. Was playing beach volleyball at the Hedonism 2 resort and got stung right in the middle of the game.

Needless to say, the swelling was tremendous and took 3 days to deflate back to its original psi.

1.They are stupid looking lol, but some think they reduce concussions.
They are pulled onto a regular helmet.

3.I dont think many fans like new kickoffs, but what can we do about it ?? lol
4.It is really just a form of QB sneak. other teams have tried to do it but havent had same success with it.
Also the refs are focusing on offsides and lined up in nuetral zone more this seaon on tush push plays. I have seen 1 offsides call on it so far.
5. If they arent talking about him it means he isnt doing much.
6.PPG your looking at a avg per game of a whole season, and comparing it to 2 games lol

All very good answers ,much more professionally done ,and less demeaning the way I would have posted, IE where have you been, These things have been covered quite often.

Although number 6 I think he's correct though if we can keep improving in all areas but if they were giving up less points some of those games that may have only been lost by a single score, Could be one II mean you're right they just need to figure out each game has a life of its own and you win or you lose you have to figure that out in the live action on how games start unfolding...


You know like the Rams meeting the Giants and by the end of the first quarter they lost four starters including their quarterback and now they played a whole different team for 3 quarters than we have.


I said that's pretty lucky and now the Eagles get to play the third string quarterback for the Bears, they didn't bother getting a better starter or going out and finding, I don't know Joe Milton LOL

They're facing the Bears her using a 3rd string very washed up old school player and I don't think that's fair by the time some other team plays the Bears at full strength, these are the kind of things you can't prepare for, it it's not who you play, that's why the strength of schedule thing is not a thing really It's really overblown, because now it's who you play, when you play them, are they going to be a full strength or not and it's not fair because other teams are now going to come across them either at full strength or not..
