Haven't heard anything about Charlie Weis as HC

I haven't seen KC play much this year but they are likely to make the playoffs. Weis was a top prospect a few years ago in the rumor mill for several teams.

I'd take Weis over Garrett based on what he did in NE. And he can choose whoever he wants as DC.

I wonder if he will get an interview with Jerry Jones.

Weis is a terrible hc, he was made to call plays.

One of the most unintentionally hilarious threads ever. I am giving this 5 stars just for laughs.

Guess you missed the glory days that were the Charlie Weis era at Notre Dame.

From the initial response, doesn't seem to be many Weis fans out there.

He can't be a worse OC than Garrett has been.

I'm not a fan of Garrett as OC let alone HC. Garrett had a big hand in this team being 1-7. No denying that.

Considering the turn around since he took over, I think there's alot of denying to do.

He's probably the best offensive coordinator in the NFL. If not top 5. Now if Garret can lure him here as OC, then maybe.

Yeah, I guess those glory days at NE are forgotten. Got to get back to those glory days of Garrett as OC/HC. What a brilliant career he has had so far.

How much of it was him, and how much of it was Belichick?

He's a good OC, but he was awful at Notre Dame in just about every way possible.

You do realize coaching in the pros and college is different. College is about recruiting first. A good college coach doesn't necessarily make a good pro coach. Saban, Carroll, etc. And a good pro coach doesn't necesarily make a good college coach. Take those ND years out of the equation and put Garrett up head to head vs Weis as OC at the pro level.

Oh, I forgot. Garrett has so much upswing.

How many OC/Assistant HCs can take a preseason superbowl favorite to a 1-7 start?

charlie weis????

are you kidding me?!?! he sucked at notre dame!

I like ur Garrett skepticism, particularly amongst a lot of these people who seem like they save locks of his hair and go to sleep cuddling a photo of him each night (looking at u dbair), but it is way too soon after his Notre Dame failure to even think of touching him.

If Jerry is trying to sell seats, it's not gonna happen with Weis.

When the season is this bad, Garrett-lovers will laugh at anything. If you really want a good laugh, watch Garrett call plays and coach.

Whats to laugh about when your averaging 30+ pts offensively?

I don't remember a 30+ point average during the infamous 1-7 start. I remember an opener vs Wash and the offense put up a net zero: 1 TD for the Skins and one TD for the Cowboys. And it was noted for ridiculously horrible playcalls on offense.

I remember a MINN secondary decimated with injuries and Garrett being afraid to attack through the air.

Haha this thread is great. Lord knows I needed a laugh this evening.

Well, its silly to say he will get interviews this year.

but rest assured if cassel continues to play well and the chiefs are a playoff team again next year weis will be a leading candidate that is just the way the league works.

but Like ozzie newsome said when hiring billick I dont want to hire an imitator in referring to chris palmer trying to act like parcells, I think its clear that is who he is.

he was pulled off of a high school field by parcells, so there is no doubt he idolizes BB and BP and that is a turn off to alot of gm's.
