Your a slightly above average football team. Hear me out before you gather an opinion. Having 3 backs like we have is a luxury and only when your loaded at every position should you keep all three. We need to move one of them as they are a major asset. Tashard is the only only one proven he can stay healthy so I say we have to keep him. Felix is a change of pace back and we need to keep him. That leaves Barber. I hate to say it but there are only so many times you can hand the ball off and still win. When all three are healthy and we run the ball 30x a game on average and Barber gets 17 of them, Felix gets 8-9 and Tashard gets 4 or 5. Well, how is our team benefiting from having an NFL quality starter only getting the ball 4 times? That's like being a 9-7/8-8 team and having Romo, Matt Schaub and a young guy like Matt Ryan as our qb's. Why would you keep all three if you could trade one for a decent price. Barber will have worth to this following team who can not get a yard when they need it, the Texans. Barber for Cushings???? Just a suggestion. Opinions overall

I just skimmed it and real fast...No I dont want to trade Barber.

You dont trade away players like him. His mentality is the heart and soul of that offense.

And 2nd, it worked out pretty well for the Giants last year before losing their only WR who made any impact.

I generally agree with your point. The Cowboys aren't perfect, and could use an upgrade at a few positions. If we trade M. Barber, the Cowboys RB tandem of Choice and Jones would still be one of the better RB groups in the league and they would get a upgrade at another position.

I like the 3 backs we have but I have to ask the question, what are you going to get in trade for someone like Barber? Will it improve the team? Quick answer, you will not get player that can match what Barber brings. Not even close. I wouldn't trade him anyways. We have 3 good backs and that 3rd back has proven to be very valuable so far the past two seasons. I'd hate to be running with someone less than Choice at the end of last season or the past couple weeks. We need all three!

I really think you're undervaluing what he is for this team.

When he's healthy he's a top 10 back.

if we just keep felix and choice, choice is going to have to do it all while felix gets hurt as often as he does

No way should the Cowboys trade Barber. Sure Barber gets some nicks and bumps during the season, but he is usually not out for weeks at a time. Felix should be the odd man out.

I love Felix and what he brings, but for now he is an enigma. Will he ever be able to finish a season without getting hurt and missing multiple games? Tashard has shown that he can stay healthy and is a heckuva runner and only getting better in the passing game.

But for now, I am going to enjoy keeping all three RB's. Call me selfish!

I disagree.

if felix can stay Healthy then Keep him. Choice hasnt peeked yet and will probably continue to play well.

barber was the heart of the offense back when...But It seems his running style will eventually run Him into the ground. And as we can see it's probably already showing.

So with that said...I wouldnt be against trading Barber if these things were right. A good return for Barber, a healthy Felix and a 3rd Rb with promise.

probably wont happen.:D

Barber was the heart and soul back when... ? That sounds like he was the heart and soul of the team 5 years ago. Barber is still the heart and soul of this offense. The team feeds off his energy and bruising style of play.

first no. and second the texans wouldnt trade cushing for barber.

on a side note i want his brother here i think those two would feed off of going against each other in practice and it would make this team practice harder imo. and they would get hype when the other made a play in the game and would make the other want to make a play and snowball back and forth :eek:hboy:

No way would I keep Felix over Barber, yes Felix is explosive and can throw in a few game changing plays, but right now he is too injury prone to count on. Betting the future on him is a mistake.

the ONLY way I would consider this is if this Washington kid can play. Barber and Jones were hurt last year....and they are hurt this year. So if you get rid of one of them, and the other is hurt, you are left with one RB.

Barber's been hurt two yrs in a row now too. Does that make him injury prone?

They arnt trading Cushing so that point is moot.

Honestly Barber probably doesnt have much trade value. He's a RB, has a huge contract and has been hurt two years in a row.

Of the 3, Choice probably has the most trade value because of his contract status and the fact that he has kinda shown he could be an every down back. I have little doubt Jones will probably hear from some teams in the offseason/pre-draft who really need a RB, and most likely they'll be asking about Choice.

I don't think you could afford to trade Barber or Felix because they recently signed big contracts with nice bonuses.

With Choice, you'd be stretching it to find a team who would give you a 2nd rounder...RBs are not a hot commodity because everyone can get them in the draft in most rounds. He's worth more than that to us.

It's foolish to even talk about trading a RB, and no team in the NFL is going to give you one of their better starters for any of our RBs...RBs just are not valued that way unless you are sitting on Adrian Peterson.

Yes, but he also has a few healthy years under his belt. He's finished a season.
