Too many times.
Any other player would have been cut years ago if their failures cost the Cowboys playoff games. DeMarco Murray fumbled vs Green Bay on what should have been a touchdown that broke the Packers back in 2014, and was let go the following year.
Almost every year the kicker becomes the scapegoat. Wade Phillips was fired for bad defense-although Jason Garrett's offense was the real culprit.
And it goes on.
Dak Prescott throws two picks last year vs the Packers; one a pick-six and gave the Packers 14 points in the first half. In 2020 he choked away the Division title, needing to win one game out of 4, and he disappeared in each of those games; even throwing the ball into the ground with Ezekiel Elliott wide open.
He had to be bailed out two years ago by Cooper Rush after he shut down vs the Buccaneers in the opening game, and was sketchy at best when he returned, giving Aaron Rodgers Packers two touchdowns that helped Rodgers lead the Packers to a win.
Yet still some here want him back, and at a cap busting salary, no less.
He is no different from any other player who holds the team back; he needs to be let go!
Why should Dallas give him another chance when anyone else who so clearly has cost the team would have been replaced before the next season?
