According to some of you, Dak Prescott was the guy that was gonna take the Cowboys to greatness;
You never heard that from me. All I’ve ever said was he’s better than the alternatives some of you keep coming up with.

Too many times.
Any other player would have been cut years ago if their failures cost the Cowboys playoff games. DeMarco Murray fumbled vs Green Bay on what should have been a touchdown that broke the Packers back in 2014, and was let go the following year.
Almost every year the kicker becomes the scapegoat. Wade Phillips was fired for bad defense-although Jason Garrett's offense was the real culprit.
And it goes on.
Dak Prescott throws two picks last year vs the Packers; one a pick-six and gave the Packers 14 points in the first half. In 2020 he choked away the Division title, needing to win one game out of 4, and he disappeared in each of those games; even throwing the ball into the ground with Ezekiel Elliott wide open.
He had to be bailed out two years ago by Cooper Rush after he shut down vs the Buccaneers in the opening game, and was sketchy at best when he returned, giving Aaron Rodgers Packers two touchdowns that helped Rodgers lead the Packers to a win.
Yet still some here want him back, and at a cap busting salary, no less.
He is no different from any other player who holds the team back; he needs to be let go!
Why should Dallas give him another chance when anyone else who so clearly has cost the team would have been replaced before the next season?
Dak is most coddled over protected QB in the history of the NFL. He made his living against awful Commanders and Giants teams.

He must be senile. No serious person would ever say things like Dak is better than Troy Aikman.
Just more evidence why you shouldn't listen to him. There is already plenty of proof why people shouldn't...but they still do.

He doesn't deserve to run the Cowboys. In his early years he toed the line because Jimmy made him, but the success of the Cowboys under Johnson allowed him the opportunity to run the team his way, and the Cowboys have known nothing but failure since.
The NFL's exploding popularity bred nepotism and favoritism in the organizations, and coaching overall has become inept. Roger Goodell is the worst thing that happened, as his way of managing the league was to capitalize profits, and parity was needed- no matter how it was achieved- to sell the league to more fans.
Now it seems every prime time game is "miraculously" decided by three points or less and at the very end of the game.
And Jerry and other owners are more interested in sales and demographics than the quality of the product they put on the field.
And as long as naive fans keep buying into the sales pitch, it will continue.

Well, they haven't rushed to resign him......

Quitters fail. You quit a long time ago.....all you do is complain.
Come on, even if every single person on this forum was rabidly supporting this team and it wouldn't make any difference on the field. But maybe, just maybe, if some of the things posters here complain about were ever addressed by the ones responsible for running the team, they might have more success.
