5th game is only good for the last 5 on the bubble - on the bubble for the 53 and on the bubble for the practice squad.

They have gutted practice time and the coaches can limit the number of snaps key players get. For the young players there is no better chance for them to learn and get experience to get better than preseason. There is no development league.

Only the ones that play the extra game can get hurt and with Garrett the starters won't play any more than they would with a 4 game preseason.

I like having the extra game. Granted I would not play starters in the HOF game I would give backups and rookies that entire game. Starters would not see any significant action until the 3rd preseason game.

Normally I wouldn't want that 5th game, except I want to see the games, and am greedy that way. LOL.
However this year their 5th game is good, we have many young players and a revamped secondary. They will need the reps.

We also need to see the RT to compete so that playing time is vital too.

And as usual with the new DL, as they will try to be cute and shuffle them around citing their versatility. So they will need that time to see you plays where...this is where I really wish they put them in a position and let them learn that first, foremost over anything else.
