Having Trouble with the Sports Apps on my Phone

I have a Android and set notifications on the sports apps so I can be notified when a team scores. Lately I noticed that I will not get a notification for a long time and then see it not working. So then I restart my phone and the notification start coming through again.


Why do I have to keep restarting the phone?
