Wow, that is very bad. Definitely going to say a prayer or two for Hayden Hurst. Hope he is able to fully recover and gain his brain function fully back.

Sad news: #Panthers TE Hayden Hurst has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Amnesia by an independent neurologist due to a hit he took in a game earlier this season, and it’s unknown when he will be able to play again.

Post Traumatic Amnesia is defined as a state of confusion that occurs immediately following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in which the injured person is disoriented and unable to remember events that occur after the injury.

Sucks man. As hard as it is for an athlete to do, particularly at such a young age, he should hang 'em up. Brain injuries are no joke and can have long-term consequences. We saw Niners' LB Chris Borland retire at just 24 years old a few years ago for similar reasons. Health is wealth. Gotta put it first.
