It should not be that hard to find a TE that can really block- and use him. 240-250 lb guy that is a top blocker- THAT is who we need. Small enough to be quick enough to
be a top blocker, but big enough to take down anyone he hits. Convert a TE if you cannot find a blocking FB big and nasty enough to do the job.

no, TEs are too upright, a good blocking back, is one that has a low base, an article about this was posted on here not that long ago, explaining the difficulties our TEs are having, blocking, although they have the requisite size

How big was Richie Anderson? He was the type of FB that Parcells wants. I'd say that Barber could handle that job. Any talk of a monster blocking FB doesn't take into account Parcells' preferences.

You are right JD, RA is the type of FB BP likes. Barber (maybe with a little added bulk next year) could be that type of FB too.

Here's the catch, its one of the things I disagree with BP about. I want a sledgehammer 260 LB FB.

So now, you have to ask yourself...Are you gonna agree with Jarv or BP ?

Man, I would really like an hour or two alone with BP at some sleezy NJ bar drinking beers and talking about football. Arguing about different ultilizations of FB's and all sorts of stuff. Wouldn't that be cool.

So would I. I think this multi purpose small FB that cant run block worth a damn is a ridiculous idea. Especially if were going to pretend that Polite is that guy.

In the beginning of the season I would have said this was crazy, but watching Polite miss blocks in recent weeks I think the Cowboys should try it.

I would much rather have Barber and Jones on the field at the same time. If the need for a dominant blocker in the backfield is needed they could put in Campbell as the FB.

Polite is underachieving.

I don't think it's a bad point at all.

I would prefer a Moose back there but Parcells has had success with smaller versatile FB's and we know when Parcells evaluates players he looks at who they remind him of - and he could see a young Ritchie Anderson in Barber.

And yes one of the topics would be why he likes the kinds of FB's that he does, but not limitted to that.
