I think Foley's book has been my favorite of the wrestler's bios...Batista's was awful. Jericho's last book was not as good to me as his first. And he's writing another!

I read the 3 books Foley did about his wrestling career and I enjoyed every single one of him. HIs first was the best one I've read of any wrestler.

Mick has several books..his first was the best but I can't recall the title. Batista's was awful...really bad...I read the whole book in a day I think. I would say the most interesting thing I found out about him is that he is a grandpa...by his daughter. A very young grandfather! I do like Batista too. He really is a very driven person which I admire..

Have a Nice Day : That was his first book. Best one I've read for sure.

WWE Planning Montreal Screwjob DVD
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.24.2011

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart will be involved…

- WWE is reportedly planning a DVD on the Montreal Screwjob. Jim Ross announced that he did an interview with Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart for several hours today for a DVD set to be released in October. The DVD is said to focus on the Survivor Series '97 incident and the problems between the two Attitude-era stars.

This is so hilarious to me. For YEARS Bret Hart claimed, vehemently in fact, that he'd never be part of anything the WWE did that would make them money off that Montreal deal.

Swore for years he'd never take another check from them because of that. Now he's not only been on their shows, getting paid, but he's openly mended the fences with HBK on a show (Which I believe was a good thing and the right thing to do, don't get me wrong there) and now they're doing a DVD to document their rivalary and what all led to the Screw Job.

I'll get the DVD, for sure, cause I find that whole situation to be very entertaining and what not but it's just funny to me how easily Bret has changed his mind on that whole thing.

Well Bret is older now & his life is different in many ways...he had a debilitating stroke @ a young age..his brother is dead..marriage ended (he did remarry)...when all that happened he was the king of the hill & life was good. He probably felt he didn't need to be so forgiving. His life is very different now. He needs to work. And I imagine the money is very good. That above all would sway him to go back.

Oh yeah. Definately.

I just always found it humorous cause he was so certain and "this is how it is" when it came to that sort of stuff. All the way up until just before he finally mended fences with Vince enough to do the Bret Hart DVD (which is actually a really good one by the way). Now he's all about the forgiveness and just moving on.

I'm glad he is. Didn't make any sense to spend the rest of his life holding onto that grudge. But it's just funny is all.

It also does make me wonder a little more though if those rumors from a handful of wrestlers are true. If that really was the greatest work in wrestling history. I don't believe it was, never have and I probably never will unless Bret, HBK, and Vince come right out and admit that it was.

But it's interesting to think about the possibility of it. I mean after all they did just happen to have a documentary crew following Bret around all the time for the months leading up to that Screw Job.

So it's possible I suppose.

His stroke & Owen dying almost did Bret in...I have an interview of his taped somewhere & he is just so sad talking about Owen & being sick. I believe it happened the way it went down. But of course there is that DVD coming. Hopefully the whole thing will be cleared up for good in everyone's mind.

Yeah I've read, and heard him say it himself many times actually, that he blames himself a lot for Owen's accident. That's silly, of course, but he's always said he believes that if he had been able to stay with the WWE that Owens accident wouldn't have happened cause he'd have talked him out of doing it.

I know for a long time that he carried a lot of guilt around about that. I don't know if he still does but I'm sure it's possible.

There was such an interesting dynamic between Bret & Owen...Owen the guy that everybody loved...joking all the time. Bret..the opposite. I have never heard...read...a single wrestler that didn't love Owen. He must have been a hell of a guy.

Same.

They all always say the same thing as well. That they never knew anyone who didn't love Owen. He was just such a good guy.

Darn shame.

Owen was never the wrestler Bret was but I have to believe Owen had alot more to offer wrestling wise. He had really small kids..so sad. Anyway..back to topic...this dvd will be much anticipated. That was a match/episode still talked about.

HBK said during his book that Owen was more talented than Bret is. I'll take HBK's word on that, and he's most likely not the only one to say that.

& yes it will, i'll buy it no doubt and it'll probably be the biggest seller of the year excl; the Wrestlemania DVD.

I think Owen was probably the better all around wrestler. The better performer, for my money anyway.

But when it came down to straight, technical, storytelling wrestling...no. He couldn't hold Bret's shoes there and that's not a slap at Owen because very few during that time, or my lifetime that I've been priveledaged to see for that matter, could.

Bret, when it comes to technical wrestling and story in the match, has very few peers. It's an exceedingly short list.

you said it well...very few ever in Bret's class & that is not slighting Owen. I think as fans you just say those 2 brothers were something special.

It was a great read...I think I remember Mick saying he writes his books on legal pads. In airports..hotels. He's turned out to be the best writer of all the wrestlers who wrote bios.
