Somehow Mike Mccarthy survives that 20 23 playoff game and starts the next year and you think that after 4 games they're going to fire the head coach and the offensive coordinator because don't say Clayton Adams is the offensive coordinator that's just his title But Schottenheimer's running two thirds of this team right now it would be a monumental mistake to fire him right now...

Dallas could not win a single game the rest of the way and he probably won’t get fired. Jerry doesn’t pay coaches to sit on the couch and there isn’t another Garrett in waiting.

Well not right now but I think he would consider demoting Schottenheimer at the end of the year say hey you wanna be the OC that's cool but they might go out and hire another guy But not in the middle of the season no not after four games is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard and I don't even know why we're having this discussion..

I mean also he wouldn't fire Christian Parker but if you're trying to find some people to fire let's start with Sorenson Like you know wake up call you know you need to find a scapegoat that won't hurt the team Fire Sorenson after the Houston game..

And then if the defense is not fixed by mid season sure let's fire Christian Parker because the defense is the real reason and the special teams is the sub reason we're losing but yet this is all on Schottenheimer who runs 2/3 of this team by the way I mean his offense is humming two seasons in a row one of the top offenses you just wanna cut bait because you think his decision making is bad and I'm telling you it's not as bad as you think..

Honestly, it's not hard to do. Sometimes you out think yourself. This time, he thought his offense could win it on overtime. He didn't think about our defense playing poorly and had suffered a couple of more injuries in tje secondary

No you can't do it mid season because there's not a single person on this team that can take over head coach and play calling... So that's not happening there's not another Wade sitting on this team now after the season sure they might consider it if this is another losing season with no playoffs then I can see it happening..

That is so wrong on many levels and I'm surprised that some of guys in here like ranching and you talking out the side of your mouth without apparently reading a lot of the responses post game especially for me but go watch the video George Pickens pushed off to get open he was not open on the timing route that he should have been and that's why they threw the ball away so they can kick the field goal So I don't understand why you don't understand that if maybe they threw that ball the flag comes out it doesn't work anyway.

That's the truth it wasn't just me we all saw it and it looked like the ref might have been posturing to pull that flag out but because he threw it away they didn't pull the flag out George Pickens pushed off to get open as usual and you're claiming there's some kind of conspiracy no the timing route was supposed to be by design you hit your back foot it Pickens is open throw it if it's not throw it away that's pretty easy to understand they didn't want to lose the game on a high risk interception or accidentally holding the ball too long and getting a sack get the ball tipped get another type of interception or something happening and you run out of time the clock goes to zero and now you lose the game anyway...

Funny you put it that way. In real time I thought to myself that he was outsmarting himself.

It’s easy to say it’s due to lack of experience, but is that really the case? He has tons of experience in situational football.

Shoddy calls plays, which most here could never do, not even poorly, but things like clock decisions etc should really come as second nature to an NFL HC.

This actually isn’t just on him. We’ve all seen coaches of other teams make some dumb decisions. He just can’t afford to be losing games for the team when his players show up well enough to win.

The players know what happened. Dak even called out the play calling. I think they need some wins over the next few weeks or it’s in danger of unraveling.

They aren't giving up on the season. They can still win the division even if they lose to Houston which is a tossup game.

Last DAL head coach to be fired during the season was Wade and it was because the players weren't responding to him. Then Jason Garrett was handed the team for a decade.

I predict DAL will lose to Houston and Shotty will keep his job.

As for the players losing faith in Shotty, it has already happened. Last week Dak didn't tow the team line and admitted DAL should have ran the ball on their last possession at the goal line .

The premise for firing Shotty has already begun
