I am excited.

Was able to work my business clients in order to book short notice flight.

I will be there for Sat and Sun practices.

The funny part.....tried to book hotels and all are booked.

Guess I will be the stinky fan in the rental car lol :starspin

I applaud you for your commitment to following the Cowboys. Have a great time in Oxnard. Hope you're able to find better accommodations than a car seat to sleep in/on. But if a guy just HAS to...

Been there, done that. :D

What you might consider doing since you're flying there is rather than a rental car is rent a motorhome, either class A or C, whatever size you need then your transportation and lodging are both covered.

That is a good idea.

However, I already have the rental car.

God will take care of us......I have to see my Cowboys.

It was much easier when they practiced in San Antonio.

Go Cowboys!

CC......you are the worlds biggest cowboy fan ever. I mean that. Have fun. Like that needs to be said. In your infamous words......Go Cowboys!!!!!

There are hotels well within a pleasant car ride's distance that won't be filled. Keep on checking further out in the area. Even from an LA Airport Hotel, the drive is only about an hour.

Check a little more, expand area just a little, and you should be fine.

Oh, and you go Crazy Cowboy. Carry all of our spirit there. Nice move!!:starspin

I took my leave for this time period, but the site changed from SA to Oxnard. I just can't bend that far with my recent developments. But my heart is always with you.

Driving Instructions:

Oxnard is on the coast, just 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles, and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara. The city is an easy 90 minutes drive from Los Angeles, 60 minutes form Bubank, and 40 minutes from Santa Barbara.

NORTHBOUND ON THE 101 FREEWAY FROM LOS ANGELES

Exit Oxnard Boulevard. Turn RIGHT. Make your first LEFT onto Town Center Drive. Make a LEFT nto Ventura Road. Travel one mile down and it will be on your RIGHT before Vineyard Ave.

SOUTHBOUNDON 101/126 FREEWAY FROM SNATA BARBARA OR SANTA CLARITA

Exit Oxnard Boulevard. Turn LEFT and go over the freeway. Make your first LEFT onto Town Center Drive. Make a LEFT onto Ventura Road. Travel one mile down and it will be on your Right before Vineyard Ave.

PARKING

Parking at River Ridge Playing Fields is $10 per vehicle/$20 oversized.

(free parking passes are given at Oxnard hotels)

TO DO LIST

* Take a drive up 101 and stop at a hillside overlooking the coast and just take in the beauty.

* Eat at the Habit Burger Grill.

* Check out the cool night life in Santa Barbara. Kind of the modernized peace and love vibs of the 60's. If someone showers you with glitter, it's supposed to be for good luck.

* Visit a winery and take a tour. They will provide four to five varieties for you to taste, and enjoy. Play the game and tell them what they want when querried on taste.

*See food and eat it. Mahi mahi tacos, please!

* Drive down to LA and people watch.

* Obviously, the beach.

Consider staying in Camarillo. Short drive to Oxnard from there. Great little hidden breakfast spot in Camarillo too called eggs n' things. Have fun Crazy!
