Anybody have advice on hotels? I think my friends and I are going to stay down there for New Year's Eve as well, so the closer it is to a good area to go out and party would be nice if you know of any.

Georgetown is pretty cool, but a little ways from the stadium.

Old Town Alexandria is fun on New Years, but also a little ways from the worst stadium in the league.

I'm actually up there next week, staying on Duke Street.

Unfortunately, there is NOTHING near the stadium. Anywhere. I am a bigger fan of Old Town than I am G'Town.

and go here: http://rayshellburger.com/

Hope you enjoy your trip. Not the game. Just the trip :)

Try the brand new National Harbor:

It is much closer to the Stadium than the hotels in Georgetown or downtown DC. I believe the Cowboys stay at one of the National Harbor hotels when they play the Commanders but I'm not sure which one.

I stayed in Old Town Alexandra when I go. Good thing about DC is the metro. Park your car and ride the train. Use Priceline.com to get yourself a good deal and compare prices. Stadium itself is pretty accessible from the beltway. Enjoy.

This is good advice.

Don't stay any closer to the stadium, as there isn't much around there to do.

There's a metro stop at the stadium on game-days, though, so that could be an option, and then you could stay anywhere that also has metro access. Keep in mind that Georgetown doesn't have a metro stop anywhere near it.

There is absolutely nothing to do or anywhere to stay anywhere near/around the stadium. The only reason to be in that area is for the game.
