Heads Up: Cowboys camp on Sirius today

Hey guys, for those of you have Sirius, Gil Brandt will be reporting live from TC tomorrow at 6 pm Central time. You know Gil is one of the most, if not the most knowledgeable guys in the NFL. It should be some great insight and great interviews. To bad we can't Tivo Sirius.

To bad we can't Tivo Sirius.

There are a couple ways to record Sirius programs without you being there, assuming you don't have a car unit. It's not as automated and there are more points of failure and cause for a higher electric bill, but I've done both before.

1. Buy FM tuner card and acquire DVR software that can handle FM.
2. Buy FM transmitter (if Sirius unit doesn't already have one built in).
3. Plug Sirius unit into FM transmitter and pick a clear frequency. Leave it on the desired channel.
4. Set DVR software to record the frequency you chose for the time/length of the program you're recording.
5. This all has to be done with the Sirius unit in range of your FM tuner of course. If your CPU/tuner card have enough juice to process simple FM, you can record whatever shows or channels as long as you want. You just have to set the channel beforehand.

The second way is using line out from the Sirius unit (if it has one) to line-in on your computer's sound card. It's better sound quality, but more annoying and less feasible. I think they are interviewing the entire team tonight, lol.

So far I recorded Ware, Wade, Jerry, Spears, Amendola, Canty, Ellis and Tank.

The interview with Ellis was going on when the quake hit. Ellis yells out 'Yo Stephen, get the plane ready, get us out of here' because he saw Jerry and Stephen running out of the hotel, lol.

Still have Romo coming up and about 45 minutes left.
