There's definitely a sense that it could be exposed at any time. (Will largely depend on whether the running game continues to limit the D's time on the field.)
Not sure why Marinelli and the scheme are taking any blame, however, when there's a more obvious and reasonably complete explanation: mediocre talent on that side of the ball.
At present, I think time on the field by the offense is very relevant.
High intensity to start all the games out, wears on a defense that is still missing relevant parts, full time. By the fourth quarter, they are run down some and it shows in opponent results in the second half of games. This changes appearances as well.
I think that the biggest negative focus is upon turn-overs accumulating in the first half of games. Put teams more on their heels, and this defense can bend but not break, effectively. They are still strong on 3rd downs and Red Zone as well.
But give this Cowboys offense an advantage of being up, and the defense plays a lot better as well. The Seattle team just won't be able to exploit the short comings of the Dallas defense enough, to overtake a strong offensive putout by the Cowboys.
