I know that this whole Romo vs Dak discussion is getting a little tired at this point so I hesitate to make another post but I just wanted to throw in my two cents with regards to why I want to stick with Romo. I found a video on youtube that summed up my thoughts concerning Romo perfectly and just thought I would share it with you all.

I personally do not see a drop off happening by giving the reigns back to Romo. I truly believe Romo deserves one more chance and that after all he has given this team and this fan base he is owed one more shot to achieve his goal with the team he loves.

Everybody will get a chance to see Romo play again, it will just be for another team, I wish him well.

I think tony is a great guy, but I want to stick with dak for time being, and they could give tony next year to try for a run.
He might have a better defense next year.

Dang, I wish he could get a SB win here and get that monkey off his back and then pitch the ball to Dak and ride off into the sunset

Unfortunately, many fans will never appreciate what Romo brought to the team. The front office let him down and just couldn't give him an adequate defense. When you know your QB is going to give you 30 points a game and religiously produce elite numbers, even an average D wins you most of those games. It's the same when we've seen great defenses; even an adequate, bus driver type QB can give you a shot at the SB. The only reasons Romo's gaffes are magnified is because we could never overcome them with our D. If GB would have won, we'd all be talking about Dak's INT, fumble and missed passes, as opposed to the solid overall game he put together.

You're right. The better qb should play.

Tony Romo .

If Romo tried to pull the ball on a read option he would be exiting the field in a body bag. Not as physical, not as strong, not as fast as Dak. There is no evidence yet, to suggest Romo is the better qb. The past is irrelevant, what has he done for the team lately?

No one questions Tony's heart, the concern at this point is in his ability to stay on the field as well as his ability to still make those plays that separated him from other average QB.

I find it puzzling that it pretty much became a way of life for our entire fan base to be sitting on the edge of their seat, holding their breath hoping Romo would get up from the next hit. As proven last season, our success rode solely on his health. Now we have what appears to be our next franchise QB, who's on a big time winning streak and they want to keep living in the past. Embrace what we have in Dak and grasp how fortunate we are - stop holding on to misplaced loyalty, etc.

Don't get fooled by old Romo highlights and believe that's who he still is.....

Except their is no evidence he is still the better QB ...... last 3 times he was on the field he left with a broken bone in his body
While I know what you are trying to say, you shouldn't have to lie to say it. It should be last 3 of 5 times he's stepped on the field. But that doesn't sound as good for fear-mongering, I get it.

When hes on another team, you'll be free from your obligation to support his consistent lack of success.

I know its tough. But we have someone whose dual threat ability scares defenses and leadership and charisma inspires his teammates. His ability to stay healthy is also a big plus. You should check him out.

"Romo deserves one more chance"

LOL. Like he hasnt had multiple chances in the past 10 YEARS. I've been wanting to move on since his ultimate choke job against the Commanders in 2012.

I really love Romo and compelling arguments can be made either way. My heart says Dak should continue. It's not an X's and O's thing or what may make sense on paper. It's all the intangibles, strength, leadership, chemistry and pushing all the right buttons with Dak. Tony to me would be like going back to a hot ex that you know in your heart is not right. She's hot and it's sooooooooo tempting but venturing into the unknown would ultimately be best for your immediate and long term future. It's sacrifice.

Fear mongering ? What the hell does that mean or have to do with Romo getting a broke bone that last 3 times he played in a game?

Who is that scaring?
You're scaring me now, with the continued lying. Stop lying and embarrassing yourself.

So 3 out of 5? Im really not seeing how the semantics are worthwhile here.
One is a fact, the other is not. I even said at the beginning that I knew what he was trying to say... the actual truth doesn't diminish his point. But some people lie so much, they really can't control themselves anymore.
