Heath is still going. After Garrett's pc he said " What you didn't hear him say but was in a thought bubble over his head was - I didn't have anything to do with hiring the defensive coaching staff."

That was a Lacewell recommendation with Jerry execution. That has served is so well over the years.

It will be interesting to hear the "Jason was not neutered in the off-season and was actually in control of the Kiffin hiring process" crowd now distance themselves from Monte.

What a d-bag this guy is. He refuses to acknowledge the 17 lineman Dallas has played. Blames Jerry Jones for the defensive debacle. Claims the same personnel would have won if Jerry had hired a real coach.

It doesn't matter that we've had 17 lineman this year...other teams have had injuries to their best players or mass injuries and haven't given up the 4th most yards per game in league freakin history. We've had 2 games where the opposing team punter didn't have to punt. Are you kidding? You can't come up with something to defensively to get off the field just one time? Sure there is a lack of talent on the field defensively right now, but you're telling me you can't even come up with something basic to at least keep from embarrassing yourself repeatedly week to week, let alone drive to drive like tonight?

Time to shut this whole operation down. Get a REAL HC, tell Jerry to move out of the way and get a GM and let the HC hire his own staff. It won't happen because Jerry Jones manages to reel fans in year after year. It's been what, nearly 2 decades of ball that has averaged out to .500? And hey guys, we're one coordinator.... one receiver... one player away from the superbowl!

Who decided not to draft or sign a single defensive lineman this past off-season?

Who invested tons of money in aging oft-injured defensive linemen?

Who invested over $50 million, a 1st, and a 2nd round pick on two man corners only to switch to a heavy zone scheme a year later?

The good job GM.

I will never understand why... I HATE TAMPA 2 DEFENSES

Evans also said we should just blitz on every down. Yeah, we may give up the big play, but at least our offense will have a chance to answer.

How did that work out for Rob Ryan last year?

I guess the point I was making is that with this group of misfit toys, it doesn't matter if Landry himself rose from the dead to coach this defense. They suck.

Everyone seems to forget that the Cowboys set an all time record for first half offensive futility last season.

Ryan did an incredible job last year, multiple injuries like this season, but literally never given a sniff of a lead all season long.

Tough to blitz when you are never ever ahead.

C'mon now! Was it Jerry's fault that neglecting to draft or develop DL or LB or that banking that a starting DL made up of 30+ yr old players would hold up for an entire season, or basically standing pat with the existing players after making the switch to a 4-3? How can that be the GM's fault? What are the odds that two of the DL starters that were injured before the season would remain injured and that the other 30+ year old players would get injured? Those odds must be astronomical.

Sorry. The injury excuse doesn't fly this week. The Bears were playing their backup quarterback and scrub linebackers.

Yep.......................the excuses for Garrett have run out................if we lose this division (which we will)..............Garrett's firing will be a comforting event.

It is actually so bad that I hope ESPN and the media jump all over this and just beat it to death. As a fan that watched it live week to week this year, my pain, frstration and disappointment in this team has already run its course - the season is done. Might as well pile on now in hopes that ownership and everyone else involved takes a good hard look at How the team has gotten here and commit to making diffreent choices in the future.

So lets assume it is so. How do you really think Romo fares under the enxt coach.

They were going to get better by changing schemes and releasing players. Addition by subtraction i believe it was called.

Actually we might be one GM away from a superbowl.
