Just saw the commercial for this, even though it comes to theaters April 12th. It looks like the actor playing him will be a little less campy than Ron Perlman, but if I'm just hearing about it for the first time less a month before it comes out, is it gonna be any good? Even in the ad it looks a bit cheesy.

I'm going to have a hard time getting passed the fact it is not Perlman, but, it does look worth a watch. It's just going to be tough to adjust to a new actor.
Aesthetically, I think he looks better than Perlman. A bit more intimidating and less cartoonish.
Unfortunately Ron Perlman isn't Hellboy now, but I'm excited about the new actor:

Oh man...
How has nobody thought of a treatment of Grendel?

On it...
Someone owns the rights to make a Grendel film. Some Vegas somebody.
He's using War Child as the source material...

I'd rather the Hunter Rose stories, but whatevs.

No longer "on it".

Are you talking about Grendel, from Beowulf? If so, I doubt anyone can own the rights to the character.

I liked Perlman in the roll. The new actor looks like an older version of Hellboy. I will check this out when it comes out on video unless it gets rave reviews.
