Hello from China! (Slingbox)

Hi guys. My company sent me to southern China for two weeks right at the start of football season. But I wanted to let all of you know that I bought a Slingbox before I left and it works great! Looks like I won't miss any of the games (though I will lose plenty of sleep since it will be 1AM and 4AM here). Quality is just fine. I can even use my Tivo to watch my recordings.

At any rate, those of you who are overseas during the football season should consider one of these.

I work for a software company and we have a team of 15 people working on the product here in Guangzhou. They sent me here to oversee operations for a few weeks, help them streamline some process and work through some technical design, that sort of thing. I was trying to game this trip so that they would send me in late August but it didn't work out. Once September comes, there is no good time.

This is my first trip to China and I have to say it's quite a culture shock! Things are really different here, in more ways than I could possibly list here. Let's just say I have eaten some very interesting and exotic things here.

I could, but you wouldn't recognize the food. It is completely different. I uploaded an attachment - I hope it works. It is some dishes at a snake restaurant I ate at last night. It case you're wondering, it tastes like chicken.
