OK, 2 solid games, nothing to get to pumped for....but, i dnt think parcells will rush jj getting back on the field. We have a 2- no 3 headed monster being born in Big D baby i love it. Jones, Barber, Thompson. O and of coarse Anthony Henry...BEST OFFSEASON PICKUP.

As I said in another thread, Parcells may not rush JJ back but JJ better rush himself back because Barber is a player. He runs surprisingly well inside and I thought his performance vs. Seattle was a bit overlooked. He showed today that game was not a fluke.

Barber doesn't quite have Jones' elusiveness from what I've seen, but he seems to know how to finish runs better. Gotta love the way Barber lowers his shoulder and punishes defenders. He also seems to be a better receiver out of the backfield.

But while Julius hasn't had a great season and his durability is in question, he has a handful of more good games under his belt than does Barber. I'm just happy we're in the position of having two -- and possibly even three -- really good young backs.

Exactly.

Barber knows how to finish runs and he seems to enjoy dealing out a little pain on the defense. It should make for a nice change of pace to Julius Jones' running style, IMO.

And I also believe MB3 is the most natural pass catcher we have in the backfield. And he seems to be getting up to speed on pass protection, that's the area of concern that slowed his debut on the field.

Agreed.

What's cool about our young depth is that they each have their own style of play, so they all bring something different onto the field for defenses to worry about.

Groovy.

MB3 looked real good today. I love how he finishes off runs with a lowered shoulder and a mean attitude. I think he'll be an excellent 3rd down/change of pace back, but JJ is the man in my opinion. Julius is our starter and MB3 is a real nice backup. Oh yeah, don't forget TnT, he's pretty explosive, and his special teams play is fun to watch!! I get nervouse when I see him run out kickoffs from 7 yards deep in the endzone, but he hasn't been stopped inside the 25 yet when he does it, so I guess he knows what he's doing. Boy it's fun to watch this team this year! I even get excited to see the D play, can't remember the last time I felt like that about the Boys.

So do you think Julius starts against Philly? I mean he should be close to 100% by then one would hope...and if he is 100% I say absolutly Jones starts. But what if JJ is not quite 100% for Philly, is sitting him for the Philly game for one more week to get to 100% the way to go? Or have them split time? Thoughts on what Parcells will do?

JJ is definately the starter, even though I am a little concerned about his prepensity to get injured. From the highlights I saw today, Barber is surprisingly quick. Watching in the preseason, I thought he seemed more like a plugger, but that might have been because of his willingness to lower his shoulder. He is very good, but I think JJ will be great if he stays healthy.

I wasn't sure if we needed to draft a backup RB in April, but I definately have changed my mind. Marion B. gives you all he has, and was well coached in Minnesota with his blocking skills. I've been wondering why TT hasn't been in the game more, but I see that he needs work on his blitz recognition & blocking.

It is really good to see we're in better hands in the RB area than we have been in a long time, but it will be nice to see Julius back toting the rock.

The thing I don't get is that MBIII runs the way JJ did last year. I'm ready for the old JJ to return. Hopefully against Filthy.
