Helman seem to think we could trade for Pickens

Super talented receiver, but goes way against what was posted just yesterday about Schottenheimer wanting high character guys. Also is Jerry going to turn around and pay a guy like this right after extending Lamb? Just seems like an odd fit for the Cowboys.
Mingo is better.

If BS is actually looking for "character" guys, then this isn't going to happen. I personally do not want him.

This ain’t gonna happen.

No need to get your panties in a bunch.

It’s your typical “The Cowboys were interested but couldn’t come to a deal” type of thing.

Carry on.

Steelers recent WR history:

Santonio Holmes was a productive Steelers head case, forced his way out of town, got a big bag and coasted to early retirement

Antonio Brown was a productive Steelers head case, forced his way out of town, got a big bag and went scorched Earth on 3 straight franchises.

Juju Smith Schuster was a productive Steelers TikTokker, left for the bag, underperformed, and then Bounced around as a marginal #3

Chase Claypool was a productive Steelers head case, forced his way out of town, never got the bag because he was DoA.

Deontae Johnson is a productive Steelers head case, forced his way out of town, never got the bag because he was DoA.

George Pickens is a productive Steelers head case, seems to be gone soon….

Gee, I wonder how this is going to turn out.
Holmes did have that toe tap SB catch to win them the game though.

Give a 6th and a 7th round pick for Pickens. Even if a 1 year rental. Get a comp pick.

I'm not sure how I feel about this
I get a sense he's not as much of a head case as we think
I can't see Jerry making this trade without giving him a new contract up front
There's no question about his talent. Other than Hunter he'll be the best wide receiver in the draft.

we need the RB1 as soon as possible.

Then RG1.
Don't necessarily agree on RG1. I think we have candidates for that. But not having to lose a pick and picking up a vet receiver in the process would help with that. If we traded the second straight up for Pickens, then it wouldn't.

I like the idea of addressing receiver with a vet in a trade-down because then we have our No. 2 and still have our first three picks (in this case, 21, 44 and 76) to address RB, DT, CB or possibly OL. Currently, we only have three picks on the first two days to try to address those spots and WR. That's not enough ammo despite what we have on the back end of the draft, where you have to get pretty lucky.

I don't see it. The FO office said the team was going to be more physical and run the ball.

no, this is a trade where you think are 1 player away. Otherwise you give up draft capital for 1 year rental that does not help in the long run.
Couldnt agree more, but guess where the kings of misevaluation think they are with this roster?

This is a one year rental. No way can pay him with Lamb making what he makes.
