Jimmy Kempski is a complete imbecile who knows nothing about DC football.
Somebody please post pics of alright taking over for Ware at OLB when ware got hurt. I want to say it was the saints game-not sure though.

This idiot thinks Victor butler is a stud. Well of course he does now that Philly wants that scrub.

Essentially I have to educate him that butler wasn't even good enoug to be a primary backup here

Was it the saints game? Or was it a different game?

I pulled up the Saints game on the All-22. Butler was playing OLB and Albright was playing ILB in the 4th quarter.

I think that most of Albright's snaps in 2012 were at ILB.

Yes, Butler was Ware's backup at WOLB. I'm not sure Albright got any snaps there.

Butler held the job because he's a pretty good pass rusher. His run defense has been a liability, though, but for a couple of plays at least he looked pretty good there.

unfortentely they're both Srubs and either will never amount to anything more than spot duty players and special teams.

Butler can do the outside rush but that's about it. Albright is an interesting player. I'm hoping he will make a push this year.

Butler is a solid player. No need to hate on him because he's signing elsewhere.

This, its nice to have a pass rusher like Butler off the bench who can come in and get pressure. He happened to be stuck behind Ware but that doesn't mean he's a scrub.

never get fans who hate anyone who leaves. butler is a nice player, got decent pass rush skills. just is'nt the type of player you want to give a 2nd contract too.

yep...

Pitts, seems to be interested in Butler and have said they are going to release Harrison

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday that the team informed Harrison they have no interest in bringing him back for the 2013 season, according to a source.

The Steelers are thin at outside linebacker, but reworking a deal with Harrison -- who was released earlier this month -- hasn't been a priority.

Pittsburgh recently hosted former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Victor Butler and there was genuine interest in Elvis Dumervil, according to Bouchette. Dumervil's decision to join the Ravens wiped out Harrison's hopes of landing in Baltimore, and the market for the 34-year-old pass rusher has been quiet.

I don't get the love affair with Albright. He really hasn't shown anything.

Shown more than Butler in less time, imo. Goes back to the fact that people around here seemed to get too worked up about "sacks" as some sort of 'be all, end all' stat around here.

Definitely. And it's not like anyone's confusing Albright for a stud or a Pro Bowl talent. But what he can do, he does well. And the dude certainly didn't embarrass himself last year when he jumped into the rotation. The tools are there to be a solid back-up, and perhaps even a starter's role. Only time will tell.

Butler could be a good addition for some team. Nothing great, but not bad either.
Can't say I would have liked his fit in Dallas' 4-3 though.
