Hello everyone,
Been reading the board for awhile just to keep an eye on what is going on but I have not posted as I cannot seem to get back into this team again. Been a fan for some 30 years, but I've never hurt like 13-3 , 14 Pro Bowlers, Home Field throughout and losing to a team I hate more than any other in pro sports. On top of all that I had to watch that sickening Tom Coughlin raise a SB Trophy.
Sports is about opportunity, it's about seizing the moment, grabbing the brass ring when you can and I'm worried that our chance has come and gone. I'm worried about our coach , I'm not so sure if he learned from the Romo/Witten/Simpson vacation - I still don't know how we came out flat in the biggest game of the year, make that in the biggest game since we beat Pittsburgh in the SB. How does that happen? How did that happen?
I'm still not over it.

And now this season , I like Felix Jones and Zach Thomas moves but can we really be serious with this WR corps?

I'll be honest, I've tuned the team out for a chunk of months now, can you give me reasons to be excited? or get excited again? or do some of you agree with me?

Great Discussion board by the way, I enjoy all of your comments. I'm sorry if I come off negative - I'm just stung.

It sounds serious.

Stay away from the Cowboys news and dont watch any games.
I will email/PM you when we win SB.

Thats all I can think of.

:welcome: to The Zone.

Sports is also about paying dues and building towards the ultimate goal. We're paying our dues, the ultimate goal is in sight. No let ups allowed.

the best part is watching the team get better. 3 seasons of 5-11 to this. come on im loving it, were building a dynasty not a one year wonder.

Dude don't be depressed at all. Our starters were flatout DOMINANT last nite. The 1st team O went straight down the field for six and our D went 3 and out with a sack by Tank. Nothing to be depressed about.

Felt the same way the last two years....ripped my guts out.

But I think we all know we were the better team last year. The Giants were better on that day and got on a roll at the right time.

We are in the best position to win a SB since 1995. Let's enjoy this season and see what happens. That is all you can do.

I will make a more honest effort to cheer you up.

Better?

Welcome to the board.......
I honestly believe last night will be a wake up call for many players......especially for those wanting to make this team or play in the NFL.

No, I'm not a fairweather fan and yes those are some pretty smiles ;)

I guess I just wanted it last season, I thought it was ours , I felt the chips fell perfectly for us, And deep down, I hate to admit, the Giants took it and deserved it. (oh that hurts)

Chin up, it is a new season and I expect nothing less than the SB - however, I worry about our WR group. You can make the case that we only have one WR as Crayton is a slotman - who is on the other side? Miles Austin?

I don't know about him/her, but I feel better... not that I was upset or anything. :D

I agree 100 percent. In most cases losing comes before winning.

and for all the nonsense about the 12 years without a playoff win, none of it matters. Only the last 2. Look at this team from the day romo took over on.

its tough. Playoff losses are really tough. I was convinced we were going to run over the lions in 91 and they lit up our secondary. That was a long offseason.

Got to take your lumps. that is what being a fan is about.

Depressed? So was my grandmother, who underwent electroshock therapy in the 1950s. She's still a cranky ***** to this day, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah. I took a haitis last season, too. It was a rough ending.
