If all NFL teams started even why does everybody hand it to New England. I'm getting my popcorn ready, they don't have Romo or TO, Randy Moss won't make the end of the game. It's time you guys get some swagger, how about them Cowboys..

Most do because they feel the AFC is stronger. 2 you have a proven product in NE who has gone out and faced the big games and have come through so most feel Brady and the Pats can handle the pressures of the big games. No doubt in my mind that if Dallas goes out and executes they have a legit chance to win this game but I do understand why the Pats will be favored barring injuries to key people over their next 2 games

Because they're #1 in offense and #1 in defense. And they've won Super Bowls recently.

Why is USC #1 in college football? Why are their pre season NCAA basketball ranks? How can bookmakers set odds on a game?

It's called educated guesses based on talent level and other intangible factors.

Take heart, they aren't always right you know.

Who has NE played?

The Jets...pfft.
The Chargers....not the same team as last year, and that is quite obvious.
The Bills...pfft.

Yet, the mediots compliment them on how well they are playing yet, they mention that WE haven't played anybody.....

Like Hos, said...."Embrace the hatred".

They'll come around. :)

Yeah, after tonight (assuming NE wins) their opponents will be 4-12, and ours will be 3-13.

And that's only because one of our opponents played one of their opponents, so someone had to win.

I laugh everytime I see threads like this - as if the media owes us every accolade imaginable. NE has talent all around on paper, has had a great organization for 6 years, and is looking unstoppable.

Maybe when we play them that will change. Me, I hope Cincy crushes them tonight, it would make me happy. But until we beat them, they have done more than we have. So get over it.

It's Dallas' job to prove they're better.

Not the media's...not mine.

They'll have their chance to prove...and if they don't...they're not.

All pretty simple really.

The good news is, New England's schedule thus far is ranked 31st worst in the league. They haven't beat anyone who is a serious contender. The bad news is, our schedule is ranked 32nd.
