Hopefully this team suffers no more major injuries and with the return of these players takes another step.

Who are you most excited to see back on the field?

Potential Returns In Zero - Three Games

  • Dez Bryant. Hasn’t missed any time yet, but with hairline fracture of his knee, might miss up to three weeks, or even longer. Might also play Sunday. Today he received “great feedback” from Dr. Andrews.
  • Tyron Smith. Back tightness. Missed Bears game. Has not practiced this week, but could still return for the 49ers game.
  • Orlando Scandrick. Hamstrings. Missed Bears game. Limited in practice this week. Might play against 49ers.
  • Mark Nzeocha. Has not played since the pre-season, when he intercepted a pass. Limited in practice this week. When will he return?
  • DeMarcus Lawrence. Last game of his suspension is this week. Will return for Bengals game.
Potential Returns After Game Six

  • James Hanna. He opted to have knee surgery before the season and the Cowboys put him on the reserve PUP list, keeping him out of the first six games. The seventh week is a bye, so Hanna could return for the Philadelphia game. If he’s not healed by then, the Cowboys can extend his return for several weeks.
  • Darren McFadden. His offseason elbow injury did not heal through training camp, so the Cowboys opted to put him on the NFI (or non-football injury) list to start the season. He could return the same week as James Hanna. Might he also be traded?
  • Tony Romo. Tony was hurt in week 3 of the preseason, with a back fracture that was estimated to heal in 6-10 weeks. That would mean he might be able to return as early as the Green Bay game (week six), or not until the Eagles, Browns, or Steelers games.

So what is the great feedback about Dez.
That was what we already knew.

Only thing I seen was that Dez is out, but Jerry said it was just a pain tolerance issue.
Phone alert said he was out. But practice report says questionable.

Jerry is an idiot or thinks himself some kind of genius that lies to try to misdirect everyone. Sadly, everyone knows this and Dez will sit out this game.

More good info on dez Injury today??

Or Jerry is a genius that makes everyone thinks he is an idiot. Can't get to where he is by not having some kind of smarts.
But also, it doesn't mean he doesn't say idiotic things, as we all know he does.

Nacho, Scandrick, and Tank. Those three will immensely help our D (well, the jury is still out on whether or not Nacho is a player, but he flashed in preseason).

God willing OScan is right and not fighting this damn hamstring when he gets back on the field, as he has at times been a liability this year, that Jones has had to compensate for, negating some of Jones' effectiveness. Mo's emergence has been a godsend (as well as somewhat reliable play from Wilcox -- byproduct of Jones, not withstanding). Jones is such a stud, but I digress.

TSmith being out hurts, especially runs to the left side, as a poster earlier in the week highlighted, but the strength of the line covers up his loss somewhat. Still, we need the league's best LT, goes without saying.

McFadden is extraneous and a jag (sorry McF supporters!). I say this as we have our full implementation of backs (knock on freaking wood).

Is Swaim working his way up the depth chart that will give Hanna a fight when he's ready, or is Hanna a lock to get his starts? Hanna can block, but Swaim is flashing and has nice chemistry with Sir Dak.

Romo, well, I choose to be optimistic. He is dynamic and the best QB <right now> in the NFCE. We need him back, and we need him to jump right in. I have faith, and I think our offense goes to an even higher level when he returns, opening up many plays we haven't seen with Dak at the helm (as Dak continues to learn, grow, process the game, and continue his path as our eventual franchise QB).

ETA -- Forgot Dez(!), but damn. A broken leg. How does this not hamper him for at least a little bit, even when he's back? Horrid luck for the dude, so damn unfortunate. Our rook needs this dude, as he is the most dynamic player not named Romo on offense (Zeke isn't there yet). Does this leg linger, will he play scared to go full physical? We shall see. I sure hope not, we need our elite WR at full strength (goes without saying).

Excited for all of these returns!

Dallas News says he good-to-go when his suspension is up

Jerry says he's still fighting it, then says he's fine. I guess we won't know, truly, till week 5

Tank himself has said he's g2g
Heard that about Watt, too.

Backs are the worst injuries for linemen.

Yeah man, I'm admittedly nervous about this. That's why we won't know, truly, till week 5. As you said, erod, backs are no joke for the position he plays.

Just giving you the latest updates. Take them for what they are and pray :)

The Hanna injury is a big deal. I think some of our struggles in the run game go back to not having him as a blocking TE. Getting him healthy will be a nice boon for Zeke and the RBs down the stretch.

I agree, I have been surprised to see Witten struggling with his blocks this year.
