Help picking up 1-2 mobile phones

I currently have a Galaxy S3 my son gave to me when he stole my upgrade. My wife stole my old Apple 3GS to use with a Chinese SIM card. She has an Apple 4 iPhone. The S3 is unlocked and I have asked for AT&T to unlock the iPhone 4 since its out of contract. You have to apply now no phone calls anymore for unlocking at least with AT&T.

I have an iMac for my desktop and a MacBook Air for most of my mobile laptop stuff. I have a decent Windows Laptop running Win7.

I'm having problems with the S3 getting frozen at times even though I keep the apps # low or just 1-2 and I clear memory periodically. I had worse problems freezing etc and had to reset to default recently which gave me a functional phone again.

If I had the ability to sync my S3 with my iMac and MacBook Air then I'd be happier. I like the size of the S3 as I don't see well. I like the iPhones as they are seamless. I don't like the small screen size although I've not used the iPhone 5+ yet.

I also want to be able to shop around for my air time instead of having to stay with AT&T. I do have unlimited data on my number being grandfathered.

We do travel a bit so I like to be able to slip another countries SIM card in esp China.

I was thinking about the Nexus 5 for one phone for us since it comes unlocked and is $399. I don't care much for the 5C but prefer the iPhone 5 I think. You cannot get an unlocked iPhone 5S from Apple although you can buy them at a premium and I mean premium. So I was thinking about a used iPhone 5 with 64GB (I have a lot of tunes) with clean IMEI and unlocked then adding the Nexus 5 for an Android.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are you don't need any help, ... you are very knowledgeable about it.

I still use a flip phone.

Now I know who to ask when I go to upgrade my old phone.

The new Motorola Moto X is made in a factory in FtWorth,TX, as opposed to China. I thought that was pretty cool, and it has good reviews.

Sounds like you just want an Iphone with a larger screen.

Rumor mill going around is that the next Iphone will have a larger screen and they might even venture into the phablet market.

So...maybe you just want to wait a bit and get what it sounds like you want...an Iphone with a bigger screen.

Now if it turns out that it has a bigger screen AND supports an SDcard or something similar to an SDcard...I might use an upgrade on it when it comes out. However no extra storage ability and no money from me.
