Alright fellas, just bored sitting here watching the NFC Championship game on the network.....it still makes me sick....we got three W's from both of these teams!!

Anyway, if at all possible, we need to go ahead and let Jerry know that he needs to go ahead and get us that WR he has been teasing us about. NO fellas we cannot try and get it through the draft, we need a vet now. Think about last year. Mr. Calvin Johnson...the "can't miss" pick. The next Randy Moss. How did that turn out? Yeah I know he hurt is tailbone (man that just sounds weird) but did he take over like Moss did his rookie year? NOPE. What about the the infamous Jarrett from USC. All American. Tons of TDs, all the hype. Ok maybe a slow forty, but was Irvin a speedster?? How did that turn out, is he even still on Carolina's roster? Robert Meachum..(the WR we had our eyes on)..how's he doing in New Orleans?

My point is this, it's a crap shoot. Yeah, hindsight we should have taken Dwayne Bowe over Spencer, but who could have known! The most productive rookies last year were Bowe, and Gonzales, and Steve Smith. Smith and Gonzales were not even stars on there college teams, just very good role players. We need a vet. Yeah it's going to take a trading partner, but we can dream between now and for the next three weeks can't we?

It makes way too much since for Detroit to trade RW #11 to us for one of our 1st rounders. And fella's if we can get him, I don't care if it's #22 either. It would be more then worth it. Here's a little scenario: say Detroit keeps him, they still have Johnson, and Furry. We all know RW is a FA next year, but if they do keep him it will cost them a fortune. RW will want top money..especially to play for a lousy QB and a lousy town. If they franchise him it will cost around 8-10 million. It just makes way too much since to trade for this dude. They get our 1st and could even possibly trade there own 1st and move up and get McFadden themselves. But I'm probably being way too creative for Millen's head.

Anyway, just a thought. We need to get a vet, somewhere, somehow. What do you fella's think?

You are preaching to the choir.

I would give up the #22 right now for Roy Williams, Chad Johnson, or Anquan Boldin.

The problem is all 3 teams have said they are not trading these guys. Do they really mean no, or is this an attempt to drive the price up? Maybe a 1st and a 3rd?

Like you said, problem is you have to have a trading partner and we are all seeing with Tenn that sometimes other teams ask for irrational compensation.

It should be interesting on draft day, hopefully Jerry can bring one of them to big D.

I would love to get Anquan, and I would be happy with Roy or Chad. I always thought that WR was the wow player that Jerry has been talking about.

I disagree, I like the Spencer pick; glad we took him. Remember your words when Spencer comes into his own this year after an off-season w/ the pros.....

RW and Boldin are worth it.
Chad... not so much. He's the least talented and most abused of the 3, IMO.
85 is a one-trick pony whose game doesn't gel w/ Romo. He has ALOT of miles on him already and I'm not so sure I find his antics and demeanor entertaining anymore.
